Holiday Inn Santee by IHG

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were greeted with 2 bottles of water and some puppy biscuits for our dog. The hotel has a restaurant on site with great service.

Room is falling apart - this hotel should NOT carry IHG designation. There has been no maintenance done…mold all over bath room ceiling etc.

We stayed here 3 weeks ago and I informed the manager about a torn up rub and sharp corners on the bed. She said she would look into this matter. We returned and the sharp corner on the bed platform was still there and they no longer offer a breakfast for free. We felt like we were staying in a Super 8, not a superior hotel. We will no longer look for this logo when we travell.

Ice machine on our floor was broken without a sign saying so. On the app our room had a couch, but in reality there was no couch. It was very warm and humid in the room.

We checked in early enough to want to be able to use the pool and relax and watch TV. The TV didn’t work. It kept saying no signal. We had to call downstairs for the girl to come up and turn it on. That was a wait. The lights in the bathroom were disgusting Even with the bathmat the tub was very slippery. There was no extra toilet paper in the existing roll was almost very empty. If we had to stay any longer and go to the bathroom, there would be no toilet paper. The alarm clock on the nightstand was disgusting. It was very dirty. The telephone was dirty. The toilet seat was falling off so every time you wanted to sit down, you had to hold onto it so it wouldn’t slide off the edge of the toilet. There was no coffee and the coffee bar as the girl at the desk sat there drinking her coffee and eating.

The entire hotel smelled musty, the first room they gave us wreaked of cigarettes, the second room after complaining was barely better. The room was freezing when we walked in but after turning the air up some we soon found out why. It turned into a tropical rain forest of humidity in our room. There was so much condensation on the entry way floor it made it slick to walk on. Breakfast was a joke. I added toast to my order that was an up charge of three dollars and when it came it was one single piece of bread cut in half. Top ten worst hotel experiences of my life.

Staff was very friendly considering there was no breakfast that you could have unless you had a credit card which disappointed many many people.

The AC didn't get cold until the morning. When you went to wake up, then you were freezing.
