Holiday Inn Express and Suites Pikeville by IHG

Hotel staff… very friendly. Room was clean. My only issue was the noise above us and it being right beside the highway… it was so hard to sleep from traffic noise.

The staff was fabulous! The hotel was clean. The only problem I had was the noise from the outside traffic while trying to sleep. If you stay here make sure your room is away from the highway.

Staff was friendly enough, she was a little more friendly to the white couple. She shared breakfast time and WiFi info with them and not me and my family! So I did go back and said”so when is breakfast and what is the WiFi info.”

Made a 2 night reservation at this hotel. I usually stay at the Hampton Inn in Pikeville but they were completely booked. Arrived at the hotel at 9pm after working all day and traveling 2 hrs to get to Pikeville. At registration I was told by corp card was declined and my reservation was cancelled. Now for someone who travels a lot - this is completely unacceptable, especially for a 2 night reservation. And better yet this hotel is now also full. So now I’m in Pikeville KY at 9pm with no hotel room, no alternative in town and I still have 2 full days of meetings in Pikeville. The best I got was “I can call around and try to find you a room. The Hampton Inn is full”. I declined their offer. Anyone who leaves a traveler stranded over a credit card issue without giving them the opportunity to update the information or even pay cash - is not going to be any help to find another room. Fortunately I’m a Hilton Diamond Member. With 1 call I had a reservation but it was another 40 miles down the highway. Better than sleeping in my car for the night. I’ll never trust HI Express with any of my business travel reservations again. This hotel manager should be fired. If you’re in the service industry you don’t leave your customers high and dry without a hotel room over something that can be easily updated or changed. Very poor focus of customer service.

Staff was very nice and let me check in early

Property was clean. Breakfast is served daily.

Would have loved if they had smart TVs. Would have loved the option for Netflix, Hulu, YouTube.
