Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tucumcari by IHG

The room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Check in was easy.

The customer service was good but the flooring when we walked into our room wasn’t even attached to the floor. Looked like a construction zone. My aunt tripped on it three times throughout our stay and it’s a huge safety hazard. If we weren’t so tired we would have requested a different room. But after a day of driving we didn’t have it in us to move all our stuff again.

Noisy

The rooms are ok semi quiet. A little scuff marks, normal wear and tear that looks like it hasn’t been repaired in awhile. If you are someone that is on a work trip and relies on a good breakfast and work out room this is definitely not your hotel… Fitness room needs a major make over, it smells old and moldy. Not to mention how it all looks stained and really outdated. I thought I would be ok with it or get used to the smell while working out but only lasted 15 min until I was comfortable and unbearable. Breakfast is a 2/10. The effort isn’t there, kinda feels like a dirty and in cared for environment. Won’t be staying here again.

Holiday Inn Express, in general, seems to have room maintenance issues. Many repairs are "inadequate" and tacky looking. I understand it's hard to hire good maintenance people, but try harder. This is a better place to stop than Santa Rosa NM. Quieter, less big rigs.

Very clean room, wonderful breakfasts options. It was nice to be able to check in early.

Return trip from vacation

Property was good, clean and convenient.

mostly good, rooms only have 1 chair...we expected a couple of chairs desk chair plus a comfy one. pool was too hot to enjot, hot tub so hot not safe to be in. Breakfast, coffee bar all good. location good
