Holiday Inn Express Medellin by IHG

One of the most centrally located hotel on El Poblado. Good rooms with great view, nice breakfast area. Loads of eating options. 2 Shopping malls in walking distance.

The bedfast could be improved more variable

We stayed 10 days and 1 whole week the toilet hose was leaking and we had to put towels to keep the bathroom clean

Breakfast was incredible good. Fruits, eggs , soup etc.

Property was great, but just know that they are not completely guest friendly. If you reserve the room for two (2) they will charge you $60 extra if you bring a new visitor who is different from your first visitor, if you know what I mean. First visitor, no charge. Bring someone else after the first visitor they will charge approx $60 every visit.

We had a great stay with no issues. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We needed an extra rollaway bed, and the staff already had it in the room and made up upon our arrival. The room was freshened up daily. Breakfast was delicious and varied daily. The location is a bit out of the way of Poblado cafes and restaurants, but the quiet was worth it for us. There are also lots of restaurants on the same block as the hotel, which was very concenient. We would stay again and highly recommend this property.

Excelente localizaciòn en un área segura. Cerca de centros comerciales, casa de cambio, supermercado, sitios de comida, puntos de encuentro de los tours que tomamos, farmacias. Nos sentimos seguros caminamos por el área. El personal muy amable. Luifer del comedor muy atento y amable. Cuarto amplio con buena vista.

During my stay I had a guest after 10pm and in less than an hour after my guest arrived, the front desk called wanting to register my guest to my room. I told them that my guest wasn't staying overnight and would be leaving in 30 minutes or less. This bothered me as I have local friends who may stop by. I've never had a hotel call me to tell me they wanted to register my guest to my room. I would understand if the call was for security reasons but it wasn't. After all, the front desk had my guest's ID copied prior to them going to my room. I'm not sure if I will stay here again for this reason. Also, the breakfast eggs and meats were cold and the kitchen didn't have a microwave. I had to take my meal to my room and heat it up. The kitchen should have a microwave.
