Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Port Richey by IHG

The staff was amazing - friendly and helpful. They were always cleaning, everything about the property was clean, and I am very particular. The breakfast was the best I have had at a hotel at this price point. The pool area was very nice, as well as the small gym. My daughter recently moved to the area so I am sure I will become a regular.

The only thing that bothered me - the loud exhaust fan in the bathroom that could not be shut off without turning out the light. I realize they don’t want the humidity of the shower without the fan on, so they need a quieter fan. I realize in the grand scheme this is not a huge thing but it really did get annoying while getting ready!

The hotel was super clean! From reception, breakfast area, hallways and room, laundry facility - everything was super clean at all times.

A bit disappointing (and not the hotel's fault) was the pool being monopolized by families with kids, I could not use it at all in the PM.

Because of an emergency in the hotel some electrical panel the fire alarm went off scared my grandson and we spent an hour outside in the night hot we were sweating tired. We should at least get a discount or something for the inconvenience

Had 3 days booked here, and I had a delay in another city that could not be helped. Asked them 3 days ahead of time to refund me the first day if I cancelled that one. Nope. Said they would change the date, but no refund would be given. Nice to know. I will not book any of my clients here for sure. Holiday Inn is usually one of my favorites. Can’t refund? Stop it. Well congrats, you got one day form me, and lost the rest of the reservation. Seems silly.

It was pretty clean and had breakfast

The television (and surrounding furnishings) just fell off the wall. It was hard to get the staff to respond as it was in the evening and they didn’t want to make us feel any better, when we brought it up to their attention again, by giving us any additional perks, but said we could write to the manager. If this had happened earlier in the day, it could have been a very dangerous situation as the heavy tv could have injured one of us walking by.
