Holiday Inn Express White House by IHG

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again! The hotel was clean and service was friendly. Our room showed some wear and tear, but that’s normal. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was decent and we enjoyed the pool.

Room was very clean . Housekeeping did a good job.

Definitely not large group/ team friendly here. We booked rooms as a team here and we had some issues. Check-in was supposed to be at 3 but was late. The pool floor was so rough several of the kids had cuts on their feet from it. Front desk was made aware and we weren’t even offered bandages for our kid’s foot that was actively bleeding. Kids swam with socks on for the remaining days. The elevator was being fixed when we checked in and was running a little rough the first two days. It broke down for the day on our 3rd day and the staff blamed our girls for breaking it. We had a family with elderly grandparents who needed help accessing their 3rd floor room and there wasn’t an accommodation for them with the elevator being out. Night desk lady was extremely rude and curt with our team parents, telling stories of a random team that stayed the previous week and how annoying they were. She hoped we wouldn’t be the same. Our girls were playing card games, string art, and making crafts at night with us supervising and we were told we shouldn’t be in the lobby (this was well before 10:00 quiet hours). We did a team dinner of pizza in the lobby eating area as well and received comments about that too. Our families made an effort to leave the area as we found it and picked up after ourselves, however the same night staff was condescending and rude to our parents and girls giving the impression that the lobby eating area should not have been used by our team. Our families were made to feel unwelcome on multiple days by front desk staff. There was another team staying here as well and their experience was similar. On a positive: the room was clean and the cleaning crew did a great job the entire week we were there. Every day the sheets/towels were refreshed.
