Breakfast area was clean and neat and the food was average but a wide selection

I am a Silver Member, and my wife is a Diamond Member. The room and the front desk staff were excellent, and we appreciated their service. However, our breakfast experience was very disappointing and left us feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. While having breakfast, I noticed that two breakfast attendants were handling the tips of the forks and spoons with their bare hands before placing them back into the utensil container. I also noticed that there was no hot water available for sanitizing utensils. As someone who values proper food hygiene, I politely asked if hot water could be provided so the utensils could be better sanitized. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, the two attendants laughed at me in front of other guests. They repeatedly mimicked the way I spoke and continued making fun of my request as they walked back into the food preparation area. When I later asked for plastic utensils, they did not assist me and again appeared to mock my request for sanitized utensils. My wife also noticed that whenever the two attendants came out of the back area, they looked at me in a hostile and unfriendly manner. Their behavior made me feel embarrassed, humiliated, and unwelcome as a guest. We were on a long road trip traveling through Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma, and this was one of the most disappointing experiences we encountered during our journey. My concern was simply about proper food hygiene and guest safety. When food utensils are handled by touching the eating ends and are not properly sanitized, it raises legitimate hygiene concerns. Rather than being treated with respect, I was ridiculed for asking a reasonable question about cleanliness. I hope hotel management will review this incident, provide additional training on food safety and guest relations, and ensure that all guests are treated with professionalism and respect.
