Holiday Inn Express Savannah - Historic District

Overall, this hotel is very good. You can't beat the location; just across the road from the River Walk. Super easy to walk to almost anywhere you want to get to in historic Savannah. The staff, without exception, were all super helpful, friendly and most accommodating. 10 out of 10 down the line! The physical hotel was mostly fine. No issues at all with our room. Good shower pressure. Responsive temp control. Beds were comfortable enough. While we were there (6 days), one of the 2 elevators was out of service. Not the end of the world, but in an 8 story building, it does really SLOW things down to a crawl. Hope they get that fixed soon. The hotel provides a decent, hot breakfast included with your room. One shouldn't get too picky about a free hot breakfast, but the physical set-up was a little less than efficient. The hot chafing dishes really didn't work very well with the mandatory sneeze guard. Not completely unmanageable, but awkward. The individually ground and brewed coffee station was perhaps not the best fit to accommodate a large crowd of early morning coffee/tea drinkers. It was fine, and a nice touch later throughout the day, but didn't quite cut it in the morning. For the location, staff, breakfast offerings and general facilities I'd rate it 8 out 10. We WOULD stay there again.

The location was great the employees were very nice.

For the extreme cost of this hotel one would expect nice features. The towels were thin and scratchy, amenities not very good. The rolling chair for the desk was broken would not raise to actually be able to sit at the desk was like sitting on the floor. The small refrigerator in room barely worked and had no small freezer section for our ice packs.

Location is great!

Paid around $2000 a river view room for 5 nights and it was the smallest room with one tiny little window. I think a dorm room is bigger than the one they put us in.

Lucky to reserve a great corner king room, with walls full of sunny windows overlooking the River and Bay Street. Ken at the happy hour bar was a pleasure and I have no complaints about his cocktails! Breakfast was typical but the staff was outstanding. Plenty of outlets in the room. Chaise seating was nice for relaxing and reading. Can get a little loud at night on the weekends as motorcycles, loud music, and emergency vehicles can be heard at times. But it didn't bother nor keep me up in the at night sleeping in the comfy king bed. All in all I would recommend because of affordability and prime location. Would return and recommend.

Nothing because of the location I’m still in shock at how far run down Savannah got I had no idea but I will sure let everyone know

Location… shady characters hanging all around the hotels and from reviews on Reddit looks like there is a distinct probability of being robbed or assaulted drugs alcohol if someone wants that sure come to Savannah gosh the charm has completely disappeared what has happened to your city it’s filthy everywhere the whole town needs scrubbed down
