Felt very unsafe pool didn’t work couldn’t check in at 3 pm cause no rooms were clean and rude customer service

This place is a dump. It is not the typical HDE that I am accustomed to. First off, google maps has you entering the property off Council Rd. There is no entrance from Council Rd. then add the fact that it was rush hour and had you going down a dead end neighbor hood. The HDE sign out by the street but there are no lights in it.... this plus the google maps screw up also plagued my party from picking me up after dark. You can contact google maps, and they can fix that. The parking lot parking spaces are too narrow.... thanks for the door ding in my car door. There is large stagnated/stinking 1500 square foot puddle of water in the parking lot in back of the property. The room was very clean except for the black mold in the corners of the bathtub. Towels were shredding and strings hanging off of them. Carpet needed re-stretched. The property resembles a beat up circle 6 hotel .... wall texturing is scratched and dinged and painted over. The pool was down for service.... I am not a pool person, so this didn't affect me. Again I am guessing this is a make over of some old hotel. If I ever stay in a HDE like this again. I stay in about 20-30 nites in hotels per year.... most are HDE. But if ever stay again in one like this again, I am done with HDE. I am glad I did not have anyone else in my party staying there otherwise I would have been embarrassed.

Not only did the elevator go out, the pool was closed, (the whole reason for choosing the hotel) the front door stopped working, and I saw a roach in my room.

There are multiple occasions that the hotel smelled like weed, which I believe it was supposed to be smoke-free, but I don't think that was adhered to very well. The biggest issue however was the hot water which we didn't have all night for the one night we were there so we had to take cold showers. My wife actually refused to take a cold shower and ended up waking up at 3:00 in the morning to take her shower in hopes that she could have hot water, which at that time, she did.
