MainStay Suites Fitchburg - Madison

The room was fine, although not worth what we paid, in my opinion, and some electrical sockets didn't seem to work. They sure didn't spend much of what we paid them on air conditioning for the hot common areas or for breakfast -- this place had the most modest (skimpy) breakfast buffet I have ever seen. For instance, one container of coffee -- no decaf -- and small cups, maybe so we wouldn't take too much? Some guy was wandering around the room talking loudly on his phone, and I found out he was their staff member in charge of breakfast when he started wandering to each table to tell us he was closing soon and we'd need to finish up soon. Speaking of staff, check-in was also the longest check-in I think I've ever had. Altogether not a terribly place or stay, but not very professional and definitely overpriced.

It was clean. quiet, well-maintained and conveniently located. Easy walk to a good restaurant/bar. Shopping area was nearby.

Fitness room is there but very small. Small compared to hotel norms.

Drapery & shower curtain had holes. Very old, not a friendly or warm venue, disappointing stay. Will not return. This place really needs a renovation

Breakfast was really good and the staff who prepared it were very accommodating, friendly and hard-working. Thank you for your service.

The cleaning person whom we asked for shampoo and shower gel were not friendly at all and did not restock it. However, the lady at the reception desk from Georgia and all other staff were really good at their jobs and professional, so we overlooked the issue and took ourselves to the nearby grocery store PicnSave.

There wasn't anything we didnt like...everything was great!! The greatest bed & bedding are top of the list!! It is our new go to in madison. Its walking distant to Thirsty Goat restaurant & bar...fun kareoke late Saturday nights!

I liked it very much. Clean, beautiful and smells good..

Would like to see Gluten free breakfast options

Front desk girl was RUDE

It was a nice enough place, roomy and comfortable beds, clean and plenty of free parking in a safe area. For the price though breakfast was pretty weak.
