Rosemount Hotel

Fabulous stay in dog friendly hotel. The aim of out trip was for walking and we enjoyed excellent varied walks.

Dog friendly...great food...clean and tidy.

Lovely place, friendly & helpful staff, good food, and good precautions for covid. The building’s a little tired, but charming and well-looked after. Also dog friendly, which is always a plus.

I was a little disappointed as I had travelled 8 1/2 hours to get there only to be given a room at the back of the hotel. Which I suppose if that’s what’s left however the corridor leading to the room spell really bad. The noise from the room above me was unbelievable I could here every movement by them and their dog as well as the toilet and shower I had to wear ear plugs to get to sleep which I didn’t get much of as the bed was very hard. As I say I was very disappointed as I was really looking forward to my stay but I suspect I was put in the room at the back on the ground floor with not much of a view as I was a Solo traveller.

Very welcoming, wonderful breakfast, room was clean and reasonably comfortable, although the mattress was a bit on the soft side for me. The decor would benefit from some updating but it is in good condition. Nice strong shower over bath and plenty of in-room amenities.

I had an excellent stay at the Rosemount. Very warm and friendly welcome. Breakfast was much better than most of my hotel stays. Comfortable rooms and stunning scenery.

Property old but clean with recently refreshed rooms Bed a little small but comfy Loved the recycled carpeting in hall and stair made from recycled fishing nets !

This is a lovely family run hotel. We had 2 rooms booked and it was just us on the first night. The staff were lovely, nice and chatty, without being overbearing. Nothing was too much for them. I look forward to booking again for next year
