It was easy to find and the woman at the desk was kind. The manager who sends out a "How's it going?" text was polite and empathetic to my disappointments.

Most of the reviews seemed good so we chose this place. However, they didn't match our experience. There is a terrible smell on the 4th floor hallways. It smells similar to if you mixed a bunch of Dollar Tree cleaning chemicals and then tried to mask it with essential oil candles. The room was barely more tolerable. There was what appeared to be mold coming through a spot on the ceiling in the bedroom and looked like it had been attempted to be painted over. Housekeeping had to be sent up right after we arrived to get hair left in the tub. There was also dried food splattered in the kitchen area that hadn't been noticed by housekeeping. Both elevators had food crumbs along the edges and corners of the floors. On the first floor, someone swept a pile of stuff into the corner near the elevators and then left it with the broom. We checked in around the later afternoon and it was still there the next morning. The washer & dryers are free, however I chose not to use them and go to a laundromat a few minutes away due to the lack of cleanliness in the laundry facility room & I felt like I had the ability to pay off-site. We had booked 5 nights and left the next morning after the first night. I would have left sooner, but I was too exhausted to drive anywhere else.

Great place to stop in Norfolk area. Convenient to highway, clean and clean everyone was very friendly, particularly Ms. Laura, who also did a great job keeping the breakfast/happy hour clean and stocked.

The staff were some of the friendliest people that we have had at a hotel stay. The options for Happy Hour social was awesome. The breakfast had every kind of option you could ask for along with a friendly and helpful staff.

This was our first experience with a Staybridge and we were quite pleased. We took a road trip involving 3 hotels with our family requiring lodging for 11. Travelers with children take note that Staybridge outdid Home2Suites at every turn. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise since it included a few more options than a traditional breakfast for this level of hotel. Each morning offered eggs, 2 meat options, potato option, waffles, the usual cereals and breads, but also nice options for custom yogurt parfaits and breakfast tacos. Ms Laura was so sweet to our group of children for breakfast and was very attentive to the area as a whole. Breakfast was a step above Home2 for sure. The rooms for 6 with a small kitchen are larger and better acquainted than most hotels. One can appreciate the small bar area for sitting, 2 stovetop burners, full size fridge and microwave. I would note that our room was lacking in enough silverware. Kitchen size was a pleasant surprise. Staybridge offers FREE laundry services which we really appreciated! Each room came with a basket to use. We are accustomed to having to pay so this was fabulous. One improvement for this specific hotel is the pool area was constantly out of towels. The front desk staff was always happy to rectify this, but it should be better monitored. I really appreciated the staff when we needed a replacement room key and extra blankets. Happy to help every time. Overall, we are adding the Staybridge as a top hotel option for when we travel as a group. Great option for families!

The tub in room 210 has a very slow drain...the tub needs removing caulk and redone...t h e toilet was running water all the time...grout lines need cleaning...
