Aviemore Youth Hostel

I liked that the showers had plenty of room, they are shared showers room but have it's own door into the individual showers. Clean and tidy bedroom I stayed in the solo room Room 1 Lockable shed next to the car park for customers to put their bicycles Countryside around and the national park, next to the reception they have a room with lockers and a changing room where customers can take off their muddy boots before they enter the reception area. Large room next to the reception area with power sockets and furniture to be able to relax and sit down after a long day. Next to the reception is a nice outside yard area to sit and relax, however no outdoor furniture out there as of September 2025 so this could be a suggestion mybe so that customers can sit out there and enjoy. Near to the main shops and cafes, just about a ten minute walk to the large Tesco store and the main train station. When you get to the end of the road of the youth hostel turn left and carry on the road for 10 minutes walk and you arrive at main shops. There is also a BP M and S garage five minutes walk away as well

Upgrade to disabled toilet, as looks dated, the disabled toilet is used by the rooms near the reception instead of going into the shower room where the other toilets are located. Look at please improving the WiFi download speed, it was a bit slow, but this is subject to the area limitations. Please look at upgrading if you can, and I would pay more on my stay to have a increase in download speed of the WiFi, as there are no other WiFi options where the accommodation is. Customer has to change the beds before they leave, in the other Scottish youth hostels such as the Perth one, the customer does not have to do this, is it only the Aviemore one that requires this? This accommodation does not allow charging of e bike batteries, rather then the accommodation looking at if a bicycle is converted or not. I have charged my e bike in many hotels and never had any problems as it's not converted. The converted ones are the only ones who have problems in overheating.

It was really peaceful at the hostel. I love the location. Any questions I had were well answered by the staff.

Room was very small for 6 people and not enough room to open luggage suitably. Only 2 lockable compartments and both gone when I arrived.

La cocina para compartir muy grande y limpia . Los baños también limpios.

No hay mucho para visitar si vas en plan familia a Escocía. Mejor el otro lado del lago Ness, parte hacia la isla skye . Moqueta con olor. Y eso que la gente deja botas fuera y entra descalzo. Habitación para 4 pequeña

The staff were all friendly and the facilities and rooms were very clean, it also had a good sized communal kitchen and dining area plus a cosy lounge to end your day with a chat and a beer.

The beds were very hard and breakfast was somewhat overpriced for what it was- especially when some things had ran out by the time I paid.

Excellent kitchen with plenty of space for cooking.

Bathrooms could have been cleaner.

Liked having a private room for me and my three sisters.

My sister and I used a double shower room. Despite the shower trays being long, the water still managed to get over the end of the shower tray out onto the flower of the room. The shower doors could do with being moved in-the-way so that they are within the length of the shower trays.
