Property Notes

Full payment for all bookings will be charged at the time of booking. All major credit & debit cards are accepted excluding American Express. All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. (Full, existing members of Hosteling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund). Individual reservations (Up to 9 people) - can cancel free of charge until 3 days before the arrival date. If canceled within the 3 days before the arrival 100 percent of the total price will be charged. Groups reservations (more than 9 people) - different policies and additional supplements will apply. More than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost. 8 – 4 weeks (56- 29 days) 55% of total cost. 4 – 0 weeks (28 - 0 day) 100% of total cost. No stag or hen parties are permitted at any youth hostel. Should guests be entitled to a refund or part refund please note that these are processed by Hosteling Scotland National Office, Stirling. It may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of cancelation request for the refund to be processed back onto the original card used. From the age of 12 to 15 years, young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of the same gender when booking a bed within shared accommodations. Parties with children under 12 years will only be accommodated in private rooms, where available. Hosteling Scotland advise that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when traveling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodations is available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots. Check-in from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM and Check-out from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM (all year round.) The reception is closed between 10:00 AM until 05:00 PM each day. Later arrival and access outside opening hours is by pre-arrangement only.Please note that the full amount of the reservation is due before arrival. will send a confirmation with detailed payment information. After full payment is taken, the property's details, including the address and where to pick up the keys, will be sent to you by email. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. A deposit may be required at the property.

This Youth Hostel is in a great location with lovely views. The place is kept clean and tidy. Showers and toilets are shared and kept clean. Facilities in the kitchen were very good, but the electric hob was a bit dated and took a while to heat up. It is much cheaper than hotels and you easily meet and mix with other Youth Hostel guests which makes for a great experience and plenty of conversation.

The restaurant was clean and serves breakfast and evening meal. We only had the evening meal and the fish and chips were not that good as they were overcooked. The pudding we got was pretty small too, so I would advise making your own meal or there are some other eating places just over the road.

The dorm rooms were a good size with space for your belongings. There was a drawer under the bed you could use as a locker and a charging point, light and shelf at the head of the bed. The kitchen was well equipped with a good sized dining area. Great location for hiking and near to Loch Morlich.

Auberge situee dans un cadre magnifique. Proche des randonnées dans le parc naturel des Cairngorms. Nous ont permis de nous garer dans leur parking quelques heure avant notre arrivée de sorte à pour voir partir faire une rando. Dispise d'un restaurant avec quelques plats. Salles de bain (Cabines de douches+lavabos) très bien.

Peu d'informations de la part du personnel ou informations erronées (e.g Scottish breakfast). Espaces communs assez froids (température et ambiance). La cuisine était sale (vaisselle sale, essuies sales, odeur désagréable). Deux lits de notre chambre (chambre de 3 personnes) ont besoin d'être réparés. Lits inconfortables et oreillers vraiment très durs. Vue sur les poubelles à l'arrière de l'auberge. Chambre de 3 chère pour la qualité. L'auberge est située dans un cadre magnifique mais ne parvient pas à être cosy..

I liked the private shower rooms, very clean and tidy. I liked the wee restaurant and the fact there was a designated bike shed.

Squeeky floors and loud doors 😉 I always get up at night to go to the loo and feel bad for the girls in the room as it's near to impossible do do it quietly.

Emplacement sympa, proche de la plage et de plusieurs randonnées. L'établissement propose une offre de restauration.
