Great setting, and decent hostel experience. Our initial reservation was lost, the rooms were quite shabby and a bit dirty. The bunk beds were made cheaply, and are incredibly squeaky and unstable. Quite expensive for the quality. Staff were very friendly. In all a solid 2-3 stars, but certainly not close to 5!!!
Another great YHA hostel. Location was good; a 15 minute stroll to the town centre or Dunollie Museum and Castle. The facilities (common rooms, dinning hall and foyer) were well presented and tidy. The rooms/beds/linen/internal bathroom were clean, tidy, spacious, and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. The bonus of a “dry room”meant clothing could be dried when you got caught in the rain....a great idea! Overall, the hostel felt safe and welcoming. I highly recommend this hostel.
