excellent property, fruendly staff....tasty breakfast

The property is scenic. Enjoyed seeing the Canada geese fly into the river. The staff were very friendly The bed and pillows were comfortable The room was large and quiet Having a pool was nice The food at the restaurant was excellent

The property is broken up. The part that we stayed in was up the road from where you check in and where the restaurant is. If it had been cold going to the pool would have not been convenient as it is in a building across the road The pool was chilly and the hot tub doesn’t have strong jets. The spiral staircase to the pool doesn’t make it easy for anyone with mobility issues to get to. No other access was available. The buildings are definitely rustic. Could use some upgrades. Seems like they’ve done a few in the house we stayed. The hallway floors have been redone. Pathways on the grounds that used to be accessible have become overgrown. The furniture outside was old. (Nicer outdoor furniture is available to use at the main building were the restaurant is ) I enjoyed being able to open the patio door of the room to see the river but we were a bit concerned about the safety of the balcony It didn’t seem too sturdy. The refrigerator was unplugged and towels were in it when we got to the room. Obviously had been defrosting and forgotten about. We didn’t bother calling anyone though as my husband was able to plug it back in. The tv had very few channels available and the control only worked to change the channels not the volume or the on and off. The bathroom had a couple cracks on the floor as well as a crack in the wall of the shower surround. The air conditioner didn’t work well as the curtain blocked the air flow. It was 77 in the room when we got up even though we had it set to 74. We were hot all night. Should have left the patio door open. Would have been cooler. We were awakened at 9 (check out was at 11) by a staff who used a key to come in after knocking once. She said she had been told there was no one in the room and was coming to fix the refrigerator. Obviously this was not a good start to our day.

The pool and the meals were wonderful.

I always like to have a mini fridge which wasn’t available in our in. Room
