Marriott's Monarch at Sea Pines

The villas are incredibly spacious. A 2 bedroom villa is basically a 2 bed, 2 bath 1400 sq foot condo and includes a washer/dryer. With a full kitchen and a dining table for 8, I can imagine this would be a great place for a family vacation. The buildings look old from the outside, but they are very new and updated on the inside. And our villa had two huge balconies as well! You're right on the trails, and what makes it perfect is that you're right across from the bike shop. So you can rent a bike and easily go down to the Salty Dog or over to Harbourtown, which are both about a mile away. And while there is no food/restaurant/room service on site, you're right next to the Beach Club which is great for any meal. You're right on the beach, so beach access doesn't get much better. And they have two pools, with one heated. The downside is that I completely missed the fine print, which states you could have to move rooms. We only stayed two nights, so I found this especially ridiculous. Since this is a timeshare property, they basically overlap bookings and give preference to the timeshare owners. They called me the same day of check in to tell me I'd have to move rooms... like I could do anything about it at that point. Overall, I would love to stay here again, as long as I don't have to change rooms.
