Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort, Chaweng

We spent 8 wonderful days at the Anantara Lawana resort in Koh Samui, Thailand. It was our second visit to this resort, and it did not disappoint again. We had a standard room, always perfectly cleaned. Excellent and very extensive breakfast and perfect options for other meals. The entire area is beautifully maintained, and the beach greeted us clean in the morning. We greatly appreciate the service and comfortable beds. The best part is the people. From the very beginning, when we were welcomed by the kind and helpful Oshin, through the breakfast team led by Irene, Mint, New, the chefs who prepare amazing dishes, to the smiling and incredibly hardworking guys on the beach and the gardeners keeping the area tidy. The half board option is only good if you want lunch instead of Dinner. We was told it could be lunch or dinner then told it could only be lunch. Gym is dated, we have a pool with our room but it’s pointless as there is no where to enjoy the sun. And the pool area is crowded and so is the beach. The service and staff I can’t fault. The banyan tree and Six senes are better value.

We had a wonderful stay at Anantara Lawana. The staff was very friendly from the very first moment. The Pool Villa was beautiful and the breakfast was excellent as well. The real highlight of our stay were the private yoga sessions with Tammy. It was my first ever yoga class while my girlfriend is already very experienced and Tammy managed to adapt the session perfectly to both of our levels. His positive and motivating energy made the experience so much fun that we immediately booked another session after the first one, and I’m even planning to continue doing yoga when I'm back in Germany. Highly recommended :)

We had an amazing stay at Anantara Lawana Koh Samui resort. Once again Anantara did not dissappoint. We were spoiled by the incredible service of all the personnel and truly enjoyed the delicious food, the beautiful surroundings and our veranda with the semi private pool. We would definitely come back to this hotel!

Great loacation with a nice beach, very nice service in all areas (reception, restaurant, breakfast, room service,...), appartments and villas in a very good shape. We had been very happy to be there for the third time in the last ten years.

Everything is beautiful about the Anatara Lawana. The location: In a quiet area yet a short ride to the hustle and bustle of Chaweng Beach and the fisherman's night market. The resort has a beautiful well taken care of beach and a nice infinity pool. The rooms: Spacious, private, and very well located. The scent of the lemon grass oil in the room is out of this world. The breakfast: fresh with a wide variety that caters to all taste's and preferences. Service: Exceptional in every sense of the way just as anyone expects from an Anantara. A special shoutout to Kevin at the front desk. His energy, attention to details and dedication to make our experience better was truly remarkable. To the Head of house keeping a small and minor remark. Please ask your staff to be a bit more attentive. 3 out of the 5 nights spent at the hotel, the ashtray outside was not cleaned and my cigarette buds were left there which makes me wonder if anyone did clean the outdoor area in the first place or not. the cigarette thing is not a deal breaker for sure, yet I just had to point it out. With great hotels comes great expectations. Thank you Kevin, thank you all and will see you again on my next visit to beautiful Koh Samui.

Not only a lovely hotel, but all the staff so friendly, helpful and efficient. Very clean, excellent food and atmosphere.

I had the best experience! I’d say this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in and I’ve stayed in many of the top hotels in the world. The staff were extremely attentive and considerate, and made my stay extra special by decorating the bed and delivering a cake as i was celebrating a key milestone in my career. I’ll be returning at least once a year! Thank you to the team.

Great location. A 25 minute walk into town. The beach is lovely but you need to manage a lot of steep stairs throughout the hotel particularly to get to breakfast and the beach. Grarden rooms don’t have a table and seats outside just an area with a traditional looking large bench with padding and cushions. The poolroom was bigger and had a better outdoor space.

It is important for us to note that we enjoyed every second at the hotel from the first moment we arrived, the service at the reception, the room service, the cleaning, the food, the beach, the home, an excellent level of service. We highly recommend it and will be back soon. Thank you for making our vacation a memorable one.
