Comfort Suites Laredo - Nuevo Laredo

The staff was very nice. Very accommodating we were there for a funeral and allowed us to check in an hour early. We paid around 130 a night. The reason for the low-scoring is that the room carpet felt sticky and gooey. It was not comfortable to walk on without shoes so I kept my slippers on the whole time. I think overall it was bad ventilation. Even the sheets would feel kind of moist if you left the AC on running. It wasn’t horrible. It was just OK.

During check-in, I was told my reserved room was not available. I requested a double queen, and they had only a single king available. An upgrade would’ve been great… A downgrade not acceptable! Refund of the difference was just not acceptable to me. They ended up giving me an extra discount off the king room in hopes that would make me happy. Not happy. Sure an extra $20 off the King room sounds good, but I had to contact Expedia to get a refund of the difference which is an extra step that I shouldn’t have had to take. In speaking to the manager, turns out the OWNER, himself, had occupied my room the day before and did not check out in time for it to be cleaned… from my understanding, he didn’t check out till after 4 PM. Of all people, I would think the owner would put his customers and their reservations first! He is neither considerate nor thoughtful of his customers. He should have checked out, put his luggage aside, and taken care of what he needed to - allowing housekeeping to clean the room. He could have stayed in a different room that was available if he needed another night. OR they shouldn’t have allowed anyone to book the last room if they knew that there was an issue with my room. Definitely not impressed with the owner and not impressed with the property. I won’t be staying there again.

Everything was great except there was no hot waters in the shower.

The location is situated in a dead end. Less traffic is good, right?

Front desk is less than kind, and inexperienced.

Clean property with great location

Everything was very good, check in, room very clean and comfortable. Only thing wrong was the parking. There were cars with no handicap placards or no handicap plates displayed parked in the reserved for handicap and we had to park in a no parking area by the trash bin risking our truck being towed. Aside from that, it was a great stay.
