The Oriental - Guest House

Great guest house located close to all that Brighton has to offer. We had a superior room on the top floor so you need to prepare for climbing lots of stairs as the character packed building has no lift…but it’s well worth it. Breakfast was good too with bottomless tea, coffee or juices in the eclectically decorated lounge. Staff are friendly, helpful and polite.The Oriental definitely hit the spot for us!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Oriental. The hotel has a really comfortable atmosphere and Lola and the staff were very welcoming - the complimentary drinks and the snacks in the room were very much appreciated after a day walking round Brighton! The location is ideal, 15 mins walk from the Lanes and pier. We parked in the under ground car park at Regency Square, which was only a couple of streets away. 2 thumbs up, would definitely stay here again!

Very well situated guest house with excellent service. Breakfast had many options and very delicious. Rooms were very nicely decorated.

It was a last-minute booking and we didn't know what to expect except the reviews and photos looked positive. We are so thankful we got the last-room available as it was perfect!! Cozy, clean, eclectic, unique hotel. The staff are so helpful and relaxed even helping us with a 'suitcase' lock that could have set the whole weekend off in tears. Will definitely go back and stay longer, complimentary tea and cakes too ;} well-done!!

A big shout out for this quirky boutique guesthouse. From the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and owner to the thoughtful personal touches and local information in the room, super cocktails, relaxed atmosphere, excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, I really cannot recommend this guesthouse enough. We stayed in the suite and It was a home from home, would definitely return next time we visit Brighton, thank you for making our weekend so special

A really lovely hotel. From the room to the staff everything about our stay was excellent and looking forward to going back in the future!

It's not perfect but it's wonderfully quirky and great value with some lovely touches, such as snacks in the room and lovely toiletries. The bed was super comfortable, and while the room wasn't toastie-warm, there was a spare blanket (which I didn't notice!) Breakfast room is lovely and colourful. The staff are really welcoming, accomodating and attentive. The location is great, although the street is not especially salubrious. Slight gripe: it's listed as having 'parking available' but the parking is not designated and is not free at all except between 8pm-9am.

Lovely place to stay, great location and loved the basket of yummy goodies in the room! Breakfast was fab.
