The BRIX Autograph Collection

This is my fourth time to The Brix and I was expecting the same stellar service, but from inception it was a massive let down. There was no warm or welcoming feeling, it almost felt taxing that we came to check in. It was a stark difference form the three other times I visited. What was embarrassing was I encouraged my family to join me, this time, as they preferred The Hilton and The Hyatt based on their international experiences. I convinced them that this hotel was much nicer. We are from a place where tourism is key to our livelihood, so they were totally taken aback at the lack of enthusiasm from the front desk. Antonio was a gem and extremely pleasant, as usual. So was the very tall bellhop who is always very kind and eager to assist in anyway. The product and employees seem to need a refresher, especially for guests who fly into Trinidad. Maybe the constant staycations water down the product and make front desk feel like they do not have to work extra on their service. The breakfast was phenomenal, as usual. The housekeeping and housekeepers were amazing too. Poolside was drab and the pool itself needed cleaning, with bugs in the deeper section. If you want to make money, I'd suggest having a waiter keep a room tab open and offer countless beers, prosecco and bar bites on the deck or poolside, instead of having to stop what you're doing, dry off, ask for a drink one at a time, constantly. I did hear other guests grumble about that as well. The hotel works for us in the meantime, due to its central location and restaurant wait staff, but I can't say I'd rush back for a fifth visit without checking out what The Hyatt has to offer instead. Once again, this was due to the lackluster greeting and overall drab communication and impressions from front desk staff.

This is our third visit to this hotel over the last few years. Simply brilliant. It is the people. The service is impeccable, friendly, polite, attentive. Everyone is so courteous - too many to mention by name but a few including Otis and Nathaniel on the door (the London ritz and savoy never had any finer, I know) Donna-Li, Miguel, Terry-Ann, Sinead, Jamie in F&B, and especially Marsha who was our chambermaid - so well presented, so polite and helpful. These people and the rest of the team (so sorry did not recall more names in writing this) are absolutely brilliant - feels like coming home to come here. The hotel itself is great - super clean, really lovely rooms, good restaurant and food. The breakfasts deserve special mention - always there is local food alongside the traditional hotel fare - so every morning has been tomato/aubergine choka with salt fish or smoked herring or accra. Lots of fresh fruits too. Makes the start of everyday a real treat! Thank you again - my only tip for any improvement would be to turn the a/c a little warmer in the dining room for lunch and dinner - but every then you did that so promptly when asked !! Wonderful stay - we will be coming again.. and again.. and again. Too good to miss Oh - and thank you to Janelle for taking our short notice late night booking so kindly . Without her help we could not be here !

The experience was amazing from the moment we walked through the door. We were greeted by Sudhea who within no time had us checked in and Curtis took our bags up to the room. I really appreciated that Sudhea took time to give us recommendations of places to eat and things to do during our stay. One underrated gem that this hotel offers is a shuttle service to local areas. Mark was so helpful in giving us recommendations and places to stay away from in d’ave. Overall my stay was perfect and I will be back!

Sudhaa, Mark, and the rest of the staff were beyond professional. This is me and my family’s (8 people total) first time in Trinidad. They helped make our trip stress free. Next time we comeback we will be staying at the Brix!

Brix is always great. From the time you step out of the car, there is a genuine warmth from the persons who work there. My choice of place to stay by farrrr in Trinidad. Breakfast buffet, although I don’t have much, would make anyone happy. Lunch and dinner menu- a great variety. Room service persons are always so cheerful. Gym is excellent. I could spend hours in there! Front desk persons are always ready to help. They are lovely. Shout out to Sudhaa Janelle thanks for your help during my stay ~ note: everyone is great! The aesthetics are lovely and room is snuggly sleep worthy. Day can become night with the great black out curtains and it’s never noisy! Lastly the cafe downstairs is a huge plus. Persons working there, again, always great help and cheerful. The yogurts and fab coffee are my go to! Oh and lastly lastly 🤣 the roof top bar is a nice “lil” vibe right there if you need to free up yourself when they have the dj! Thanks team Brix. Keep up your high standards!

Interior design was lovely, felt luxurious, just missed a balcony in the room,

No pairing of auto rentals, room service was cold and the chicken was dry and tough to chew, concept of paying 3 times the amount for salmon Alfredo v a seafood Alfredo with just salmon was puzzling, room service took a while to even be contacted let alone reach,

The location of this hotel is perfect — easy access to the Savannah, Port of Spain, Lady Young Road, and just a stone’s throw from Queen’s Hall. The customer service was exceptional, especially from Candice at The Marketplace. As a coffee lover, I always use half and half, and I was a bit disappointed to learn they didn’t have it. However, Candice went above and beyond! She showed genuine curiosity about what “half and half” was and offered me other options to make my experience enjoyable. That kind of effort truly speaks volumes because I could have easily walked away frustrated, but her warm attitude completely turned my morning around. It was my husband’s 50th birthday, and even though he didn’t get to enjoy the hotel as much as I did, we were pleasantly surprised to find a cake and a thoughtful card from The BRIX Hotel in our room. That personal touch meant a lot. Overall, a wonderful stay — excellent location, thoughtful staff, and memorable service.

Excellent views, service and food for my first trip to Trinidad. We enjoyed happy hour overlooking Queens Park Savannah. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of choices each day. Dinner was delicious and our server, Antonio was awesome!

The breakfast here sucks It wasn’t Good. They need to do better with the food and housekeeping was horrible. I have call for towers. Did not get it until the next day.
