Perroquet Hotel

I’m torn on leaving this review, the property and location is great value for money. I rented 2 separate rooms for 2 nights during our stay. We had room #113 which was great, no issue. The other room where we stay was #212. Room was clean and cozy, no complain but there was this faint urine smell, I assumed maybe there's a pipe or bathroom was near. During the night, the urine stench gradually increase, almost to a point I could not sleep at all because the urine smell was so strong. Could not figure it out, checked the bed, bathroom and nothing. I messaged the direct contact to see if we can switch room in the middle of the night and got a reply to wait till morning time to see for another room. I did not sleep at all for the rest of the night due to that extreme urine smell. When morning time came, I lifted the bed sheets and bed cover to find out the mattress itself was covered in urine stain (maybe from previous rentals). It was disgusting to see that a bed cover was placed over that stain including all the urine that soaked into the mattress itself. I took a picture and video to send to front desk and was told they'll look into it.

Do not stay here!! This place does not come close to the standards of a hotel. I have stayed at Hostels in other countries that are better kept then this place. The place is filthy from the outside to the inside of the rooms. The inside of the room have dead bugs, filthy grimy floors and furniture, the light fixture don’t often work, the kitchenette is filthy, there is cigarette burns and stains on the comforters, the sheets are also stained but it hidden so you can’t see them, I can continue telling you why you shouldn’t stay here and I have plenty of pictures to prove them. Do not stay here, and they are very tricky about their no reimbursement policy.

I liked that the property was near the beach. And that it gave more of a Homie atmosphere. I didn’t like the noisiness at times.

Just a few small conveniences could have made things better: larger trash can and extra trash bags, extra towel rod in the bathroom, a towel for the kitchen so we could dry the dishes, a broom to sweep sand from the floor since we were so close to the beach, we only had one remote for 2 tvs

Right across from the beach. Older facility. But bathroom fixtures were updated. Not much to the room. Old style motel entrance. No elevator. Pool is small. Big refrigerator but not a lot of room for storage or sitting. Would stay again can walk along the beach all day long

Affordable for one night. Spacious rooms and the kitchen was perfect for our family. Beds were cozy, plenty of room for a family with suitcases. Asked for towels and they brought them right away! Check in was easy….. did everything yourself. Check out was easy as well. Quick drive to the beach , grocery store and restaurants!

The location was sketchy. There were police cars and something happening when we got there. The pool was super small and not very clean. Ice machine broken , vending machine broken, elevator broken.
