The location was perfect as it sets in. It’s quite a little area, it’s super vibe and cute it sure to please. The rooms were a little disappointing because the bathrooms could’ve been cleaner and the carpet.. then we found some termites on our curtains and our bed however, they did come out swiftly to treat the area, but said they didn’t find anything. I have pictures and videos so there’s definitely something there that needs to be addressed overall I’d give it a hard 3.8.. and this is because of the follow up afterwards no one ever reached back out to us about the bug problem. We spent a lot of our money to have our 30th wedding anniversary celebration and it was definitely unexpected guest at our party. Unfortunately.

Need a taxi or shuttle to main stop but it didn’t matter too much

Choice of pools, sunset views over the bay, size of room, on-site restaurant, shuttles to downtown and Smathers beach, Sunset rentals watersports tours on site.

The shower water/temperature appeared linked to the aircon, which when activated/deactivated changed the temperature of the water quite substantially. But that really was the only negative of the stay and if staying for longer, would have just turned it off to get consistent temp.

Things I liked about Parrot Key: Spacious suite with good sized bathroom Good storage and good number of coat hangers (one of my pet hates is hotels who don’t give you enough hangers) New water bottles every day - some hotels just give you one at the start and that’s it. The pools’ temperature - one is fairly cool but the others were super warm, which I happen to like but my husband wasn’t so keen The roosters ambling through the property (mind you they’re everywhere in Key West) The grounds are nicely landscaped Our room faced the sunset. Don’t bother going to Mallory Square as the sun sets behind an island so you can’t see it go below the horizon. Things I didn’t like The location - I spent ages checking reviews and looking at maps but clearly didn’t appreciate how far the hotel is from the centre of things. It’s next to and opposite two strip malls. Handy to catch up on your pharmacy shopping but not ever atmospheric. You definitely can’t walk which means either a taxi, driving (parking is expensive and until midnight) or take the shuttle - BUT… The shuttle stops in the evening - yes it goes back at 7 and 9 but the last one into town is at 4.30 so if you want to go back to the hotel to shower and the head into town for dinner you can’t use it. The valet parking is ridiculous and a totally money-grabbing exercise. $30 to have someone park your car in the parking lot which is right next door to the hotel. It’s not remotely convenient as they keep your car key and you have to wait while they fetch the car. We are perfectly capable of parking our own car. Valet parking is usually done when the parking lot is some distance from the hotel. People have complained about this before - listen up management!! It’s ludicrous and immediately makes me suspicious about what sort of hotel you run. The housekeeping was cursory at best and very late the first day we were there. If you’re Katie top dollar for the room you expect decent housekeeping. They made the bed and replaced the towels and that was it until the last day when they did a good job for some reason. The shower was weak The bed was old - the mattress has a hump between the two sides. The pillows were too small and too hard. The staff could have been friendlier, especially the concierge who didn’t seem terribly interested in people. Sorry Parrot Key but you charge too much for what is just a fairly average hotel; and to add insult to injury we have to pay a $51 “resort fee”. It’s just not good enough value.

La qualité et taille des chambres avec petite terrasse

Les piscines sont très petites et pas du tout aussi qualitatives que sur les photos. Musique en permanence. Repos impossible. Emplacement sur la zone commerciale n’est pas très accueillant.

We just slept there didn’t use any facilities the management and all the people working there were great very friendy and accommodating

The room was musty. The drapes are dirty. The woodwork is dusty and needs to be painted the cabinet that has the refrigerator. The safe and the microwave needs to be gone or redone painted something the shower, the water is either hot or cold no in between they need to get a plumber and put in a new mixer valve the sheets were old the floor was sticky needed to either be stripped or washed really well
