Walnut Beach Resort

I love the heated pool, the beach access and the location. It's very relaxing and peaceful. This is the second time I've been here.

Not fault of the hotel, the bugs were really bad at this time of year ( may). It made it a bit of a nuisance to enjoy being outside. The only other critque would be that the kitchens could be equipped with more supplies like it's mission scissors and the pots and pans are kind of small. My recommendation if you are staying in the suites with just the kitchenett, just bring simple food, because there's not enough cooking supplies and the supplies are small ( like the cutting board).

I have stayed at this resort many times with my husband, as we love the location, pool and beach. Over the years we have found that the rooms were feeling very neglected, dated, and dirtier with each visit. I decided to book the Merlot 2 bedroom room for a girls trip; it was my friend's first time at Walnut Beach Resort. Upon arrival the room I noticed the smell of smoke instantly. Everything we entered the room from the hallway or balcony it was noticeable. I was embarrassed and felt terrible because I was so proud of this resort and was hoping she would love it too. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The ceiling in one of the bathrooms had dark spots on if, and what appeared to be a bounce laundry sheet stuck in between the ceiling panels. Never have we experienced this before. She has stayed at the Watermark and said it was more modern and updated. Unfortunately the neglect over the years is evident, and the price no longer matches it's value. We may have to explore other resorts in the are next time we return to Osoyoos :(

Facilities and location

We enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

The 1st complaint was the breakfast buffet. Most of the food was warm or cold, the toaster didn't work. For that reason I would say it wasnt worth the $20 each. It should be free for what we paid for our room. 2nd, our room was said to be a mtn view but was actually of a tree in the parking lot. No mtn views.

Restaraunt not good , had to find cook , 1 st time I had to open my served bottle of wine, food poor Some staff very welcoming , others not , gas heaters and fireplaces no propane for cool nights. Dead batteries to safe , had to wait for service 45 minutes and almost missed our outside resie

A fantastic location over looking the lake with a clean nicely heated pool and private sandy beach. Clean and comfortable rooms. The heated pool area is kept very clean and tidy and has a nice selection of BBQ’s. The hot tubs are excellent. This place is good but is a bit let down by the restaurant which could be improved.

Getting a bit dated but it is very clean. The restaurant was disappointing, over-cooked fish and chips and it seemed to be somewhat understaffed. If the food choices and quality was improved it would make a huge difference to the overall experience.
