"Wonderful."

The house was a lovely Victorian house. The people were kind and friendly. The breakfasts were fabulous . The room was great and the bed was the best ever. So comfortable we had the best sleeps despite the heat. Great choice. Toni and Kathy.

"I would have no hesitation going back as food and staff were excellent."

The staff and staff were excellent The only issue was that it was a bit far away from the city. The staff were and were extremely helpful.

Property more than met our expectations. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts offered a good choice of food, all of which was good quality. Even though the B&B was fairly busy, off road parking was not a problem

Nothing really. Although the property is situated in a lovely quiet area, it is a good 20 minute walk into the city centre (cathedral area), which was not a problem for us, especially as we had dry weather

"A lovely stay in a leafy area a few minutes away from the centre."

Steve and Shiela were friendly, helpful hosts. We were running a bit late for a wedding celebration on arrival, and Steve very kindly offered to give us a lift to the nearby venue in his car. The accommodation was comfortable and quiet, and the breakfasts were excellent: a freshly made fruit compote was a highlight of the breakfast buffet, and we could pick and choose from a large number of options on the full English cooked menu. We didn't have time to sit in the lovely garden but would have enjoyed doing so had our schedule permitted. We would wholeheartedly recommend Somerville House.

The place was beautiful but what was outstanding was the welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was first class. I would highly recommend this place.
