Cavallo Point

Another wonderful stay. Beautiful setting and spacious room. Recommend dining at Farleys, great breakfast , lunch and dinner. Very casual. Electric bikes great fun and so was the Spa.

The location is beautiful, the views are incredible and the historic homes turned hotel rooms are very nice! Most of the staff were wonderful too, and the restaurant Farleys is excellent as well. As are the massages in the spa. The massage therapists are very very good! Both my friend and myself received exceptional massages.

The spa pool was over crowded unfortunately as it was Mother’s Day weekend. The surprise was the staff, most were very nice and did a great job, some were not. There was a “mixup” about room service, and the turn down service also did not come regularly. We had to make a few calls and the reaction was unexpected, not in a good way. Maybe they were over worked due to Mother’s Day weekend? In the big scheme of things it is not a big deal, but if you are paying a great sum of money to stay 4 nights with (price tag of close to $5000), and this is a very special treat for special occasions, then every detail counts.

I booked a room for 3 in the historic suite. The living room area does not have an AC so it is too warm for the person sleeping on the sofa bed. The living room windows with the marina view have no blackout curtains so it is hard to sleep past sunrise. It doesn’t feel like a 5 star accommodation. Room service took almost an hour - no condiment provided with our breakfast order. The front desk wasn’t very welcoming. It absolutely is not worth $1000 per night.

All Staff and location was Exeptional. The food was great and I definetly appreciate the Love.The Room was the nicest. I wouldn't ever leave if I didn't have to. Facts

I would give a 3.5 if I could but nothing higher. I’ve been visiting Cavallo ever since it opened in 2008. The beauty of the property and the quality of the service always made it a unique spot for us locals to escape to and enjoy. But something big has changed. The quality of the service - and some operations have declined drastically - specifically the front desk reception staff (daytime/weekdays) and the spa reception staff. Rude, distracted, and unprofessional is the only way to describe it. The staff in the restaurant and valet is exceptional however! Please do some secret shopper experiences and test what’s broken in these areas - the details matter.

I came in expecting a focused deep tissue session, but what I experienced was the kind of mastery that only comes from decades of work. You can feel Heart’s experience immediately—there’s no guesswork, no routine. Heart draws from an incredible range of techniques and applies exactly what your body needs in the moment. It makes sense that Heart performs most of the treatments on the menu—he’s not limited to one style, he embodies all of them. It felt less like a standard session and more like being guided by someone who truly understands the body on every level. After nearly 30 years in the field, it shows in every touch.

Fantastic facility, and perfectly located for anything you would like to do in the Bay Area. The grounds were impeccable, and the staff is outstanding. Highly suggest staying there!!!

We attended the wedding on property. We stayed in one of the traditional rooms. The rooms are ungodly overpriced for the value received. This is not a luxury property. This is an old-time property with a partial view ofthe Golden Gate Bridge. This property charges Peninsula and Ritz Carlton and four season prices for courtyard by Marriott accommodations. Amend this to someone else at least not someone I like.
