The George

The rooms were very comfortable and the ambience in the restaurant, bar and patio were very nice. We enjoyed the food in the evening very much. Breakfast was also good.

It was regrettable that the "free" breakfast drinks only included tea or filter coffee, with cappuccino requiring an additional payment. That at least should have been communicated to us in advance (although we would have still stayed), but really seems like unnecessary penny pinching given the cost of the free food.

Lovely property, large room with excellent facilities in the room. Very pleasant staff. Breakfast was exceptional. We ate dinner at restauant which was excellent.

Had dinner in the restaurant and thought the food was OK but expected it to be a bit more the room rate was expensive but was a bank holiday

Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Great location. Large bedroom with nice quirky decor. Nice breakfast.

A little hot and stuffy throughout the hotel and room. Bed was hard. Couldn't get served at the bar. Tried on two occasions, but gave up and went across road instead. Was busy, but even so.
