Horizon Inn & Suites

The hotel was convenient for where I needed to be. They were accommodating to any changes that I needed to make. Bed was comfortable.

Rooms are a little dated. Linens could use to be refreshed. Just a little worn, probably from frequent washings. Upgrade your soaps. The handsoap supplied is not sufficient for cleaning anything. DO NOT rely on this breakfast. Options were not that great. Refrigerated precooked eggs - not good. Cold gravy for biscuits in a crock pot - not good Waffles - make yourself - good

Ran short on toilet paper. Rolls very thin snd skimpy. Also, did not have clean wash cloths for second night of stay.

Clean room friendly staff

Had not stayed here in two years. It was run down from two years ago. Bathroom door would not shut without slamming. Breakfast was so-so. Front desk staff at check-in was unfriendly. Staff was very nice when we checked out.

The Horizon Inn is under new management and they have signs all over the walls and doors telling the guests what is permitted. It does not feel warm and welcoming like it has in the past. Breakfast food is only served in the dining room. I have never been to a hotel where they will not allow guests to take food to your room to eat. It is NOT a buffet. The food included was eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy. I was stopped by the front desk staff to not take the food to my room. The pool is closed for construction and the gym looked like it was under construction also. The new management needs to work on their customer service especially for this midwestern community.

Did not eat breakfast.

We are 81 years old. The original room was on the second floor and there is no elevator. Fortunately the desk clear was able to remedy that problem.
