Hotel Hacienda Bugambilias La Paz & Centro de Convenciones

Checking was a mess. The "regular girl" was out and sub had no clue about our reservations for 4 rooms. Took a very long time, she let us in but has to "check" w regular girl tomorrow. A mess. Property is NOT like photos, dirty, pool not clean, restaurant closed. Rooms are clean but no blankets just sheets and coverlet (that's hard and uncomfortable as a cover). badly needs updating. Tiles are loose and coming up concrete permanently stained. Grounds are pretty shabby.

Nos dieron facilidades para hacer un check in anticipado y fueron atentos. No me gusta que pidan dinero como garantía para la estancia y menos si no lo anuncian con anticipación. Las instalaciones son cómodas, limpias y no muy lejanas del malecón.

Habitaciones recién remodeladas, limpias, cuarto muy amplio, recamarista muy amables. Excelente trato.

I found this hotel for a quick trip with friends to La Paz. The hotel is a fraction of the cost of some of the other hotels that are right on the beach even though this hotel is only 3 small streets away from the Malecon (about a 5-7 minute walk). I booked two separate rooms and when we arrived (around 930) the front desk was very welcoming and was able to let us check into our rooms since they were ready. The rooms were huge and had two very comfy queen beds. The rooms were extremely clean (clean floors, walls, and blankets smelled good) and were simple (small closet, dresser, and table). We had a balcony in both are rooms which were a nice touch). There was a good working AC unit and toiletries in the bathroom. The only con was the room did not have a fridge. The property has this cool open space in the middle with a large pool that was extremely clean and they cleaned every night. There’s a restaurant on property with good food and drinks.

El hotel está muy bien precio calidad, limpio y las cuartos remodelados. Es un hotel normal, nada de lujo pero cumple con las expectativas y está a unas cuadras del malecón y en una buena ubicación. Encima todo el staff super amable. Nos alojaríamos aquí de nuevo sin problemas.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is very clean, and the recently updated rooms are modern and well-maintained. It’s in a great location, just a short walk from the Malecón—we enjoyed walking there every evening. The hotel has a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, perfect for anyone looking to relax. The staff is polite and keeps a low profile, which adds to the tranquil vibe. There's also an on-site restaurant open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering delicious and affordable meals. If you're looking for a clean, quiet, and conveniently located hotel, this is a great choice.

This hotel is very basic at 100$ Canadian a night. We visited in March 2025. No English is spoken at the front desk. I have intermediate Spanish so we were ok. The only extra in the room is a phone. We had requested a fridge. No. We did get to store our drinks in the small fridge at reception. The pool is lovely as were the beds and pillows. There is a restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. We ate there the first morning and then ventured out the other days for better food. The air conditioning worked well but when on fan had an odor of urine!! Not pleasant. We reported it and they cleaned the filter I think and left the fluff from the filter all over my pajamas that were on the bed ! My friend got sick with a cold or allergies while we were there. We THINK it was related to the urine smelling air conditioner but not sure.
