Riverside Meadows Cabins

We have stay here 3 times over the last 4 years and love it more and more every time. The host are great and the place is just lovely. You won't be disappointed.

Our stay wasn't long enough

Super nice host, lovely place right on the river.

A lovely and comfortable cabin at a beautiful spot on the Rio Grande river. Our hosts were very helpful and made great suggestions for activities.

We stayed in the penthouse cabin above the garage. The apartment had ample space, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. The hosts are very nice. The internet worked fine. Everything was clean and in good working order. The location next to the river is absolutely fantastic and quiet.

A most peaceful, beautiful and relaxing experience! The owners are most hospitable, the accommodations are beyond wonderful! I would live there if I could, lol. The cabins are exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, fully stocked with everything you need for comfort and convenience!! Fritz and Paula have an incredible ability to make you feel at home! I will definitely stay there again, and next time for longer than just an overnight! 5 Stars plus!!!

This was our second time staying here and it never disappoints. The first time we only stayed for two days but left wanting to spend more time here so this time we spent 4 days at the master cabin. We had a great time exploring South Fork and the surrounding area. The cabin was very comfortable and relaxing. The proximity to the river was a plus. The owners were very welcoming. Thank you for making this such a great stay.

This was a Great property to stay at. The Hosts live on-site and they were absolutely lovely! The Cabin was nice and clean, equipped with everything from shampoo to laundry soap! There is a W/D in the unit, microwave, stove, pots pans, coffee l, creamer and sugar along with a coffee pot! Right by the river, fire pit, patio table, and walking path! I will definitely stay here again!! It’s about an hour away from The Great Sand Dunes and the Alligator farm, but the drive is nice!

Hosts Frits and Paula are cordial, disarming and readily available and welcoming. Upon arrival any sense of urgency that may have tagged along uninvitedly slips away, a vocational hazard of modern living. The property is nestled away on the edge of the Rio Grande River giving you a feeling of privacy you would expect if you were in the high mountain, giving you the advantage of being close to local restaurants and businesses. Fritz invested a lot of time in planning and building his cabins, choosing hewn timbers from Tennessee, contrasted with a modern white chinking material, providing a rustic Appalachian effect, with dovetail notches at the corners, as compared to the round “Lincoln Log” timber. I spent some time marveling at his craftsmanship. Anyone who has taken a woodworking or a “Shop” class in high school will appreciate Fritz’s desire to maintain this historical style. In closing, this lovely couple will be “the warm gravy on your cold mashed potatoes.” And, I am forever grateful. With every good wish and enduring good will, Dr. Drew
