Smy Bologna Centrale

I stayed at SMY Bologna from 13–15 June. The room itself was adequate for the price, and I have no major complaints about the accommodation other than our room being situated at the far end of the hotel where the free WiFi did not reach… Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by what I believe was an attempt by staff to scam us out of additional money for breakfast. Upon checking in, we were informed by the receptionist that breakfast would cost €10 per person. On the morning of 14 June, we went downstairs and asked to have breakfast, at which point we were told by a female member of staff that the price was €15 per person. Although this was different from what we had been told at check-in, we were still prepared to pay it. However, when the payment was processed for the two of us, the till displayed €20 in total, which equates to €10 per person, not the €15 per person we had just been quoted. Sensing that something was not right, I asked for a receipt, which also showed a total of €20. Before I could question it further, the staff member quickly left the area. When she returned, I raised the discrepancy and was told there had been "an issue with the till and the receipt" and that the amount shown was incorrect. I then went to reception to seek clarification. The staff member arrived before us and spoke with the receptionist in Italian, so I was unable to understand what was being said. The male receptionist then told us that the breakfast was actually €15 per person because there was a larger selection of food available that morning. After some discussion, he agreed to refund the difference between the €20 shown on the receipt and the €30 we had been charged. What they did not realise at the time was that we were staying an additional night. The following morning, I checked the breakfast offering and found it to be exactly the same as the previous day. I also asked a different member of staff how much breakfast would cost and was told €10 per person. As a result, we were given multiple different explanations and prices for the same breakfast. The explanation about an expanded breakfast selection was also contradicted by what was offered the following day and in my opinion, if management had introduced and extended breakfast selection that was frequently offered, surely the till would facilitate the price entry for this rather than displaying the lower amount, to avoid situations exactly like this… While I cannot really fault the room for the price paid, this experience left me with the strong impression that staff were attempting to scam us out of additional money. Whether this was due to poor communication, a lack of training, or something more deliberate, it significantly damaged my trust in the hotel. For that reason, I would not recommend staying here.

Staff was was very friendly and accommodating on my early arrival on a hot day after a long bus ride from transitioning from a cruise before returning home. I was just going to drop offmy bags. That was going to be a convenience in itself. But they had a room available early. That was more than generous. It is very close to the train station. It made my morning transition to get the Marconi Express very easy. This is coming from an out of shape 63 old American woman walking with 2 pieces of luggage. The whole city is full of history and easy to navigate. Very walkable

Nothing. I book ended an Airbnb wannabe hotel on the beginning end of my cruise on via Marconi. It was in a more tourist desirable area but you can't replace the hotel amenities. The Airbnb wasn't staffed and was basically an unsuited room in an apartment for nearly the same price I paid for this hotel that is maybe a 5 to 10 minute further walk.

Posizione top: vicina alla stazione, non troppo distante dal centro. Possibilità di lasciare i bagagli pre/post check-in/out. Il check-in si può fare a tutte le ore, molto comodo per chi arriva tardi. Camera spaziosa, luminosa, pulita e con tutto il necessario.

Na plus: Czysto, lokalizacja była okej bo 15m do centrum na piechotę i miła recepcja. I to tyle

Na minus, dużo: -Najgorsze: Bardzo słabe śniadania. Obsługa siedzi w telefonie gdy talerze stoją po 30-40m na stołach. Jedzenie jest zimne, jest tylko jajecznica obschła, parówki i bekon. Bemary są puste po 8:30. Nie jest podgrzewane. Pieczywo jest z marketu z opakowania i bardzo słabe. 3 rodzaje szynek i 3 rodzaje serów. Prawie wcale nie ma warzyw. Nic z tego nie jest dokładane, raz wykładają jedzenie i kto zdąży ten zje. Kawa jest bardzo nie dobra (kwaśna z domowego ekspresu Jula). Oceniam śniadanie na 2/10. -nie działające kontakty w ścianie, nie da się ładować telefonu czasem -1 rolka papieru w toalecie -brak opcji dodatkowej wody z hotelu, jest 35 stopni -Płyny do mycia ciała pomylone z mydłem (opakowanoa były zamienione) -Przekazaliśmy do przechowania bagaż (stał luzem obok repecji, każdy mógł wejść i wziąć) -Brak ochrony (każdy z ulicy może wejść i widziałem takie przypadki) -brak kołdry na noc tylko prześcieradło -Bardzo mały telewizor -Brak jakichkolwiek udogodnień w stylu fitness czy basen/sauna -Bardzo mały pokój - 14m2 Mogę jeszcze sporo wymieniać ale PODSUMOWUJĄC: Hotel bardzo słaby, absolutnie nie zasługuje na 4 gwiazdki. Prędzej to motel tylko na spanie 3 gwiazdkowy.

Καταρχάς έγινε η κράτηση μέσο booking και όπως φαινόταν είχαμε μέσα στην τιμή πληρωμένο και τα τέλη και τους φόρους . Ωστόσο η υπάλληλος στην υποδοχή δεν το δέχτηκε με αποτέλεσμα να πληρώσουμε έξτρα τέλη και φόρους !!
