"Price was good but room was a bit beat and broken holders - weirdly no furniture."

Very comfortable beds, linens, pillows $ room. Grounds are nice.

surprisingly there was no furniture but for the bed and attached night stands. Freeway noise drowns out much of the artificial waterfalls a river near by.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful scenery in and around the hotel. Even the staff of the restaurant/bar were lovely. Would definitely come back.

"Hotel improvements will be great, restaurant is the worst!"

I'll give the good first. The front desk experience checking in was great. Very good people skills, pleasure to deal with. Maintenance came quick when we had to call about issues. The bed was very comfortable for a back pain sufferer. The bad the fridge was warm when we got there, hence why we had to call for maintenance. The A/C unit had a thermostat on the wall that didn't work, it confused us. The front desk helped identify that only the wall mounted unit worked. The hot tub was needed with a sore back, it was luke warm and made me freeze walking back in the cold after getting in and being cold. Had to warm up with a hot shower, hated wasting water! Now the worst part of it all!!! The restaurant messed up both of our orders. I asked to remove the tomatoes and replace with mushrooms that were offered in other meals, waitress said no problem. The meal came out with tomatoes, made normal. She forgot to tell them about the change. Then the right one came out but I was penalized for it because the first one was overflowing with bacon, next one barely had any and no mushrooms. Was told it they were out... they obviously lied because the table next to me had their food come after and they had them. Had to keep asking for coffee refills, was totally ignored. We chose to suck it up, pay then leave. But, I was made to feel so bad for their mistakes that I chose to ask for the manager. No manager but there was a lead, a blonde. I pulled her totally to the side, spoke to her clearly and respectfully without raising my voice to tell her about the mistakes. She said I will not allow you to speak to my staff this way... funny, because I didn't say anything to staff, I only calmly spoke to her off to the side. She was flustered and didn't know how to responde so she choice to bark at me. She then said, what you just want a free meal. I told her that I already paid, it was my intention to tell you that you made me feel poorly for your mistakes. She was rude, didn't care that I was treated poorly. She offered to credit us back for our meal... I first said no but she got nasty again and I said yes please. While the food was paid for, that was not the intention. A true manager or lead would take this as an improvement opportunity to not have it happen again. Instead she proved she was not lead qualified. A simple, we made a mistake and thank you for making us aware would have sufficed. What would have been better could have been an apology
