Sandy Beach Oceanfront Resort

Was near attractions and dining places. The pools and hot tub were nice but water little chilly in the evenings.

The property was dirty lobby bathroom, elevators and most of the gym machine was broken. The room was very large balcony was very nice oceanview. The room update was cheap. Kitchen cabinet was peeling. And i was told third party reservations has other rooms

I loved it very clean and peaceful will be returning next year.

We always stay at the Sandy Beach when we go to Myrtle the biggest issues we have are people smoking cigarettes on the balcony and smoking other things on the balcony. This past day, we noticed a lot more where in the room and the pools were pretty dirty. It’s like no one was scooping the pools For the bugs and things. in our room, their refrigerator was very wobbly and the temperature was not quite keeping cold enough and then when we turned it up, it got way too cold and everything froze. The shower and hot tub worked great the beds were clean and comfortable flight issue with the non-smoking hotel having security outside, that was smoking so every time we wanted to leave the hotel, we had to walk through a cloud of smoke. The security guard also harassed us about parking a few times because we had a handicap placard and talked under the assumption that we did not have one because it took us a minute to get it out and put it on the car. The hotel only has seven handicap spots for a 19 story hotel seemed a bit too few to us. This is the first time we stayed when the lady at the first desk was actually friendly to us and not rude. We arrived at 2:30 and she allowed us to check in and even asked what floor we wanted to be on, I wish I remembered her name, but I complimented her on how kind she was.We always stay at the Sandy Beach or it’s neighboring ocean’s one hotel because they’re still kind of newer. And good condition in the beds are comfortable and clean.

Nice property with only a few condo issues that need attention. Housekeeping staff does not speak English.

was noisy at night. next door has dryer running for hours. it sounded like smoke detector. kids running around the hall. Someone took our do not disturb sign.

The hotel was very clean for the most part and smelled amazing when you walk in. Near the check in desk it looked like they may have been unpacking new things but other than that everything was just as described and the pictures were 100% the same. Not too noisy, house keeping was great. Air conditioning worked very well overall, an amazing hotel and decent location right near family kingdom. Also the easy beach access is always a plus.

We went for a Labor Day weekend getaway. The room was clean, & there were plenty of pots, pans & utensils to use. The oceanfront view was perfect. Check in was slightly slow due to only person working the front desk. But overall we would stay again!
