Hotel Aktea

We stayed five nights at the Hotel Aktea when visiting Lipari and the other Aeolian islands. The service was excellent- They could not have been more gracious and accommodating. They helped us find and book several tours, helped with restaurant recommendations reservations and directions, and were generally friendly and pleasant. The rooms were simple but spacious and comfortable and ours looked onto the wildly gorgeous huge pool. Breakfast had a wide variety of sweets, as well as cereals yogurts, breads meats and cheeses. Would 100% return.

Everything from the staff, location and facilities were great.

Great location, walking distance from the town center, we had a car but did not use it at all.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Aktea very much! It is very clean everywhere! The whole facility was tastefully built, decorated and pleasant, the outer grounds featured many trees, hedges and flower-bushes which were nicely cared for. Location is very convenient, and staff very friendly and accommodating!! My family has some dietary issues and staff cared to provide the necessary specifics and services. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Beds were very good size and quality. AC was good. Privacy of our outer space was ok and very close to the pools. Very relaxed atmosphere around the pool as well! Pool bar was convenient and offered light refreshments over the day when the restaurant paused. Bathroom and Pool Towels were clean and tidy. Parasols were opened every morning for the comfort of their guests. Lovely mix of ages of people present when we were there.

Unfortunately our AC had limited function and it got quite warm in the room. There was no a-la card breakfast option but it was possible to ask for some scrambled egg serving.

Clean rooms, nice pool, friendly staff & management.

Located next to a power plant with diesel engine, that creates noise all day and night. No beach in 400 meters distance as stated. Quite old fashioned and worn rooms.

A wonderful resort hotel with excellent staff and facilities. The pool is big and well designed and the bar staff were excellent and really knew how to make a cocktail. My room was large and comfortable with a great balcony and refreshingly cool air conditioning. You're located about 3 minutes from the main street so you're just far enough away for a stay.

Everything was great but maybe breakfast could have some extra options that are more palatable to international guests.. but it was still very nice.

Sehr schöne Anlage und nettes Personal. Nur das Frühstück könnte abwechslungsreicher sein.

Pregi: il personale, la pulizia delle camere e dei locali comuni, il ristorante, la colazione e l'ecosostenibilità. Da migliorare: la pulizia della piscina, troppo frequentata da gabbiani, piccioni, ecc.; il blocco dei canali streaming, anche il semplice YouTube, pur con televisori Smart. Difetti: la piscina troppo alta in tutta la sua estensione, senza un'altezza adatta a chi non sa nuotare.
