Comfort Suites San Antonio North - Stone Oak

The room was nice. The bed was comfortable. The location was good. Having HEB in walking distance was a plus. I had forgotten my Dopp kit.

Maybe a heavy black out curtain. Street noise was uncomfortable. This is just a suggestion. It is easy access to two highways. A small square map of how to get on the highways (north, south, east and west) from your location would be helpful. Possibly put in on your website or TV information for the room, or a a board by the front dsek that visitors could take a picture of.

It was close to restaurants.

The breakfast was horrible. One elevator did not work and the other kept breaking down. The front desk was undermanned every time I went through. The pool was not clean/ heated and there was no jacuzzi. For a place that charges just as much as a downtown hotel it was not up to par.

Not great. Eggs were not good. Sausage was under cooked. We stay at a lot of Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites. Breakfast is normally pretty decent, one of the reasons we stay. This one was a little below par in terms of selection and quality of cooking. Cudos to the desk clerk, though. She was on her second double shift in a row and facing the same for the next night (another employee was in hospital) and was still friendly and helpful.

Had problems with connecting to the wifi. Took 30 minutes with the desk clerk fiddling to get it right. Was fine after that. Also, the access pad from the pool sidewalk was broken. The face was literally missing from the scan card box. I had to tell the clerk, who was unaware. This was inconvenient at worst.

No one was at the front desk for check in, took over 20 minutes to come out to the front desk had to call the hotel to get someone to come out and they still took 10+ minutes to come out. Checked out after 10 minutes of being checked in due to finding a cockroach in the bathroom and they would only give me a partial refund after checking out.

I like how patient the front desk person, Sal, tended to my situation. Sal could not find my booking.com reservation. He was really patient and nice, and completed a Walk-in, check-in. The entire process was about an hour. After finally getting into the room, the remote was missing. I had to go back to front desk to retrieve a remote. Get back to room and get settled and attempted to use the remote. It did not work. Called back down to front desk. Had to switch rooms. Now, it's after 230am. I initially arrived approximately 1215-1225am. I was told after long check in I would be allowed a late checkout of 12pm, for no charge. I was told a note would be made on my account and I would not be disturbed prior to 12pm. I received a call at 11am, woken up out my much needed sleep. Proceed to restroom, red stains on face towel, and long hair on the long towels. I could not use the towels, and I was exhausted.

The linens, communication levels, and also the whole entire hotel smelled like wet mildew. I must admit the size of the rooms, were excellent but I was not comfortable. I was exhausted. Sal was great. The late/overnight guy was very patient and nice.
