Cromer Country Club

Parking could be hit and miss.

We have stayed at Cromer Country Club many times over the years and keep coming back because it is so lovely. On arrival, Rob at reception was incredibly kind, polite, and helpful. However, we found our apartment was only accessible via many steep steps. Because we were travelling with elderly parents (one having had a knee replacement), we asked reception if we could swap to a more accessible two-bedroom apartment. Unfortunately, none were available. Rob went above and beyond by checking if we could be moved to a three-bedroom alternative instead. Sadly, his efforts were blocked by a colleague who lacked the same compassion and insisted we pay extra to upgrade. We asked to speak with the manager, who was off duty at the time. She did call us back a few days later, and we really appreciated her taking the time to follow up with us. While the service on this occasion wasn't great - and staff absolutely could have shown more compassion and done more to help - this shouldn't overshadow the fact that Cromer Country Club remains an outstanding place to stay. As regular guests who have stayed in every accommodation type over the years (from studios to three-bedroom apartments), we know exactly what high standards to expect. The only surprise was the lack of a washing machine, which is usually standard - and by Sod’s Law, we actually needed one this time! The layout itself was excellent, featuring an immaculate, modern upstairs toilet with a walk-in shower and a matching downstairs bathroom with a tub. We appreciated receiving fresh towels halfway through our trip, and all other essentials were thoughtfully provided. Both bedrooms were generously sized with fantastic storage and hanging space. Despite the minor omissions, it truly felt like a home away from home. Thank you to everyone at Cromer Country Club for making our latest stay simply amazing!

We were delighted to find proper curtains in the second bedroom this time. However, our other previous points were missed: this apartment still only features one television in the main bedroom, and the pillows remain uncomfortably lumpy. Addressing these details would greatly enhance the overall guest experience. Aside from those points, the accommodation was clean, tidy, and exceptionally well-equipped for a wonderful staycation.

Clean, Tidy, spacious, well maintained. The location was lovely but I wouldn't recommend for older clientele as there are lots of steps as on cliff edge and near a lighthouse. Linen clean/kitchen fully equipt with dish cloths and dishwasher tablet etc.. Also a coffee machine and tea/coffee provided which was a nice touch.

The balcony outside wasn't the nicest - a few plants and maybe a nicer table outside to sit around would have been nice. I think this area could have been cleaner - definitely to make more of the outdoor space at the property so people can sit outside and have a glass of wine in the evening.
