"Just needed somewhere to stay the night but ended up with an enjoyable experience"

Very much a business/conference hotel but this did not stop them giving me friendly and efficient personal service as a leisure visitor. Evening Meal served in great surroundings looking out directly oover the pleasant gardens. More imaginative menu and wine list than is usual with this sort of hotel and coupled with excellent service.

Breakfast bacon under-cooked and flacid. Everything else OK

Reception staff ponderous and not really helpful. Phone takes priority over guests at the reception counter.
