The check in was easy and Cassandra was friendly. There was a manager there that said anything we needed to let them know. Made us feel good. Two days into the 6 night stay we are having issues at the breakfast bar with people being loud and obnoxious, cussing and carry-on about their personal life. I asked them politely to take the discussion somewhere else and had to get a manager to stop the situation from escalating. The breakfast bar was mushy powdered eggs and sausage. One waffle makers and people would hog it up making 4 to 5 waffles and taking them up to the room Every other day they were supposed to tidy up the room. By the third day I had to set up a schedule for cleaning which was not done. Had to call the front desk to get the towels and garbage. The room was not cleaned as requested. The temperature in the room could not be set. It was either too hot or too cold. Cold fan blowing on my face every night for sleeping. Very uncomfortable!!! The back door had a nice patio area. But 8 o'clock in the morning until midnight, people smoking pot sitting out on the patio. I don't smoke pot and even though it is legal in Virginia, it is still an unpleasant smell to me. I don't expect it to be so strong and in my face as I walk out the door in the morning. Just not very satisfied with our stay and we really should have checked out after 2 days but it was Easter weekend and most places were booked. Would not recommend this Marriott! Will definitely not stay again.
