Always preferred hotel

Pros: location, service, breakfast buffet, price Cons: our bed was uncomfortably hard (we’ve stayed at this hotel before and the bed was comfortable so maybe it was just this room), the exterior of the hotel could use a power wash and fresh paint

It was only a short stay but could have been my last, I was almost electrocuted to death. Plugged in the Iron and while waiting for the temperature to rise, I had gone to use the bathroom. When I returned, the plug point was sparking and smoke was present. I had quickly used a towel to remove the wire from the plug point. This was very dangerous, especially with steam from the iron quickly turning into water causing the floor surface close to the sparking plug point, wet. There should be procedures in place to check that all electrical appliances provided in the room are in satisfactory condition and safe for guest. Staying alone, if I was to have been electrocuted, no one would have know and I would have been there alone.
