Hampton Inn Sheridan

Be very careful when making reservations at this very basic Hampton Inn! This hotel will attempt to add unauthorized charges including cancellation insurance and other undescribed fees that double the rate shown on line. My credit card that I used to hold the reservation was charged as a prepayment when I challenged the unauthorized cancellation fee. We have reported this hotel to BBB. There are much better hotels in Sheridan.

This visit was for a much-needed family getaway. We planned on hanging out at the pool, enjoying the hot tub, and generally just relaxing for most of our stay. So when I booked the room 3 days before our arrival I made sure to ask if the pool and hot tub were both working and I was assured that they were. We arrived and the desk clerk was not pleasant at all. We went to our room and it was okay, then we decided to check out the pool and hot tub before unloading everything. Pool seemed to be fine but the hot tub was not even at bath water temperature. Terrible. When we went to the front desk to ask the clerk about it we waited there for nearly 20 minutes with no one in sight. I finally called the hotel from my cell phone and she answered. She actually seemed put out that we were even asking about such a thing but said she would have someone adjust it but it would take a while to warm up. Her demeanor was so off-putting, like we were asking for a limb, and we decided on the spot to leave. We are Hilton honors members and very loyal to the brand but will not be back to this establishment.

Good location Easy layout breakfast ok (not great)

1. On arrival, front desk young man pleasant, but kept running his hands through his hair (short) and picking his nose… 2. Floor not vacuumed: crumbs, clothing plastic tag, dirt on floors 3. Food under bedside chair cushion (Cheetos!?) 4. Dark brown stain(?) blood(?) on comforter top edge. We removed and didn’t use. (Yuk!) 5. Hairs on hand towels, soap scum under broken off from wall shampoo bottle, mirrors very streaky. 6. Mini frig outer wood door broken and hanging poorly. VERY disappointing!!!! Not an inexpensive hotel!

Clean. Staff was great! Breakfast was very good!

Very hard to get my room cleaned and clean towels.

Very nice hotel. We'd definitely stay there again.

Not super nice. Floors are terribly loud below.
