Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Center

It was late and I needed a room for the night after driving 12 hours. The room was basic, but clean - that's always a plus. The best part was the complimentary breakfast - eggs, sausage links, potatoes, some fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, juices, and WAFFLES! Although she spoke limited English, the woman in the dining area was very friendly and helpful.

LoL, the sheets! They were old and need to be replaced as the elastic no longer holds them in place. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere. Using the map directions from the hotel website, you drive down curvy, one lane roads. At night, it felt like we were in one of those scary movies (Wrong Turn came to mind) where no one makes it out alive! LoL They need another waffle maker as well. You make your own and the wait to do so was rather lengthy. Some guests were making 2-3 at a time.

The staff memmber (Paul) was very polite and helpful.

Breakfast was not as good as I hoped it would be. Typical motel style food.

I liked the cleanliness and privacy. And it didn’t feel like I was only an hour from home.

I didn't like that the breakfast was over in the other hotel that was in the front.

Closeness to attractions. Parking.

No one at desk upon arrival. Needed to walk to sister hotel to check in. TV did not work right even after someone came to look at it. Hard time understanding him. Toilet rocked. Faucet in bathroom was loose... turned around. Some smell in hall. Hallway and bathroom not air conditioned. Bed was hard. No information posted about amenities (pool, breakfast, deli, etc.). Glad we only booked one night. Breakfast was good and plenty of room to sit.

Oh...the historical ambiance of the old territory and buildings in that little town of Gettysburg, beautiful green land, with old American roots. Wished my ancestors were alive again. I thought of all that there in Pennsylvania.

I looked near the pool and when turned a little dark girl hit me sharply in the liver. Ran away. A bunch of dark people were swimming in the pool at time I just landed to check in. I sat down for awhile in lobby.👀🧟

I was passing thru Gettysburg on a drive from Western NY, home to Central VA. I wanted an affordable, clean, quiet location to break up my trip. The Eisenhower Hotel and Convention Center was perfect for this. I have toured Gettysburg many times and was not looking to experience the history or any nightlife. Being about 3 miles from town center didn't matter to me. The price was GREAT, the location suited my reason for the stay, room was clean and quiet, and breakfast was very nice to start my day.

I found nothing that I didn't like about the Eisenhower Hotel and Convention Center
