Sleep Inn & Suites Port Charlotte-Punta Gorda

Friendly staff all around. Convenient to the appointment. And, they are dog friendly. Wonderful bed and linens. We would give this a five star review but they're just some rough patches in the bathroom in particular plaster missing near the tub and something under the sink. It's a minor nit, but it's enough to drop it down to four stars.

they have free breakfast which was really good! the rooms are very roomy and comfortable.

there’s still a hold on my card almost a month later. i stayed there the 30th of June and checked out on the 1st of July and told is July 28th and there’s still a hold on my card. i called the hotel, they said they had completed the stay and the hold should fall off in 5-7 business days, if not contact my bank. i contacted my bank and they said to call the property. i’ve went in circles with both and still nothing has changed so instead of $100 for one night, i paid $200 and i’m not okay with that.

Located right off 75. Lots of restaurants , grocery, shopping nearby. Friendly staff. Friendly longterm guests. Spacious room. Pet friendly. No hidden fees. Breakfast was good.

Pool was a good size but dirty. My partner was grossed out and refused to go in. Our room smelled like wet dog. I assume there was in fact a wet dog in the room the night before. We stayed 2 nights and the smell faded. The showers need to be updated. The bed was very uncomfortable ( very hard and board-like. Also, it tilted downward so our feet were above our heads.

I thought the property was very clean, but I thought a lot of it was dated. Staff was very good. Breakfast was quite good. Coffee was good.

Great time there, clean and spacious room.

Shower door was rusty and wouldn’t close all the way leaving 2 inch gap. Roaches in the bathroom I saw several on two different nights. Air conditioner didn’t seem to work properly at all. Breakfast foods were not refilled when supply was low. I stayed here because I had a positive stay at Sleep Inn in Clearwater but would not recommend this place to anyone.

The stay was restful and much needed. Checking was easy and quick. Housekeeping was friendly and helpful with towels. All but one of the desk people was extremely nice and knowledgeable. The one with the really long dark pony tail needs to find a different job if she hates this one so bad, she was my only negative attitude. There are lots of folks with pets visiting so it may not be for you if you dont like dogs. The waffels in the breakfast room are a good reason for waking up in time to eat.
