- Nice concept with the all inclusive allowing use of all restaurants and pool facilities across all the MGM hotels, though execution could be improved - Good location about 10 minutes drive from Old Town, lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, close to a beach

- Food quality was fairly average and the booking process for the specialty restaurants is outdated - Staff were nice but the whole venue seemed under-staffed - not enough receptionists and not enough waiters at the buffet restaurants who were working flat out and struggled to keep up - Poor soundproofing in the rooms so you could easily hear doors banging and furniture screeching

Location is very good. This is the 3rd time in 3 years we have returned to this same area of Albufeira for this very reason. The food selection, in general was pretty good and what we expected after we had stayed in a sister hotel, just up the road, last year.

There were 4 keys things: 1. Room view was poor, basically concrete walls with a large metal fence on top, rubbish littered on the roof of a storage building and the neighbouring hotel. We didn't expect a sea/pool view as we hadn't paid for that, but at least keep the area outside clean and spruce it up with some decent vegetation that's inexpensive. 2. Room itself: It had a strange layout whereby a small entrance with a door to the bathroom, then you proceed into the 1 bedroom which has another door leading in to the lounge, diner area/balcony. For four of us (2 adults and 2 teens 13 & 15) it was a squeeze and really not good having to walk through a bedroom to get in and out of the kitchen or going to the bathroom/leaving apartment. 3. All inclusive restrictions - our biggest issue was this. Last year we stayed at the Muthu Forte De Vale (1/2 mile up the road) and we had full access to all facilities AND food and ALL drinks at the other 4 sister hotels. This year we realised after day one that we could only have full access to such services at the Oura Praia Hotel (next door) and the Muthu Club Praia Da Oura (just across the road). We could not get any food or drink at the other two (Grand Muthu Forte Do Vale or Grande Muthu Oura View Beach). We learned from staff that the policy changed this year but nowhere on Booking.com or on the MGM website does it make this clear, so we felt mislead and short-changed. Whilst we appreciate the reasons why they have made such changes, our issue is that we booked this hotel based on the option to use all facilities in the other hotels and we wouldn't have done so if we knew this. 4. In general all of the 4 hotels we used this time (for pools and or food) are looking very tired in all areas, generally are not that clean and tidy and in many case are simply too busy for the facilities they have.

La ubicación, parking y poder usar piscinas y bares en algunos hoteles de la cadena, excepto el bar de la piscina View beach club que no dejaban porque decían los trabajadores que ese era 5 estrellas... Se supone que el Grande Muthu también lo es... Positivo que había snack a muchas horas para poder comer algo en caso de no llegar a la hora del buffet. La habitación enorme aunque para reformar.

El hotel no corresponde con un 5 estrellas, cierto que por el precio que tiene ya lo podemos imaginar, habitación correcta, pero para reformar a algo más moderno, tener cortinas de baño muy viejas en un 5 estrellas no es normal. El servicio de limpieza podría hacerlo mejor. Las bebidas del todo incluido son flojas, pero como en todos los T.I., opción cerveza que nunca falla. La animación muy muy floja, si buscas un hotel con animación este no es el que buscas.
