Le Duc de Praslin

- Good dinner buffet, breakfast buffet is ok but not spectacular for a 5* and could be more varied between days - Clean rooms - Fresh beach towels everyday - Friendly resraurant staff - Easy beach access and easy access to rest of the island - Well equipped gym - Nice shower and bathroom area

- Reception is a little transactional not to the level of service you expect from 5* hotel - There was ALOT of noise on multiple nights we were at the property because of the beach party they organise. This is really not acceptable given the price we pay to be here in particular on Saturday its very hard to sleep until 1am! - The decor and interior design is a little all over the place and lacks some elegance. - The same music tracks are played in the restaurant everyday! - No elevator for top floors - They come to change your towels each evening and knock and random times which js annoying when your trying to relax. - Squeaky bed

The staff was amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. It was lovely to also meet the owner. The entertainment each evening was enjoyable. The rooms are nicely decorated and the food was amazing

Sehr zuvorkommendes und immer überaus freundliches Personal. Hervorragendes Essen, sowohl was Auswahl als auch Qualität und Präsentation betrifft. Sehr schönes Gym und Spa.

Die Pools sind etwas zu klein und zum Schwimmen nur eingeschränkt benutzbar. Der öffentliche Weg (für Autos nutzbar) führt durch die Hotelanlage. Etwas verbaut, verursacht durch Erweiterungen. Die Bühne für Veranstaltungen nahe am Meer: dieser tolle Platz könnte für andere Dinge, z. B. Infinity Pool sinnvoller genutzt werden.

The property and rooms are absolutely beautiful! Gabriella in the buffet restaurant was absolutely the best! There were also a couple of wonderful staff in the restaurant as well! Gabriella we love you and Thankyou for always being so kind and helpful! ❤️

Buffet food as to be expected it’s a buffet, good variety and you will find something!! There was one staff member that was at the bar and also down at the beach restaurant that was unfriendly from day one and we like to joke around and have a good time as I was traveling with a friend and he was a hard no for me!! We are very friendly people and love to chat and get to know staff and all the people around us but it was just an uncomfortable vibe there! It’s marketed as fun, upbeat and lively and it was so the opposite! I’m a very social person and travel a lot and for the money they are charging it’s all because the room and grounds are nice that’s absolutely it, no vibe at all!! They charge for coffee in the room after you use once which blows my mind!!! I love to have a couple cups in the morning in the veranda, ended up just going and buying coffee pods at the market! When you pay as much money as you do here I expect nothing less and this I will cross off my list for recommendations for sure! When a guest comes and asks for ice in their cup and it’s a whole issue, that’s a problem for me! I am the easiest person and I was just floored! Once again if you just want a beautiful room and beautiful grounds and want to have no interaction with absolutely no one this is the place for you! I was very disappointed in Le Duc, I had such high hopes for this place as I did sooooo much research and started planning this trip 1yr before travel so I put in the time and effort into finding the perfect place! Also was on La digue before praslin and absolutely had the most wonderful experience so when I arrived here and had that experience I was so sad! I also love to create content when I travel and I do it because I love it and not to make money, but I absolutely would not do it for a place I wouldn’t recommend!
