Comfort Inn New River

I read the reviews before booking and chose the hotel based on the reviews. I didn't agree with the rating it received. The only positive for me, the bed was comfortable.

We travel with a trailer and the parking area was small,so we had to park behind the building which was dark and unprotected. The building is dated and didn't appear to be very clean. The carpet in the room was stained, hair on the bathroom wall, paper thin towels. For the rate that they charge, I expected a much nicer facility.

The hotel location is very good, close to New George river and bridge, close to Fayetteville , close to many hiking trails , close to some dinners and shopping area. The room was ok for 4 of us, not very spacious, but ok. Nice addition was complimentary coffee and tea around the reception area.

We got the room with leaking toilet , so there were water on the floor in the bathroom. We didn’t complain because it was one night stay, so we didn’t want to spend our time on it. Also the airconditioner worked very loud located very close to beds. Another thing was the breakfast- very small dining room, there were a lot of people that the breakfast room could not contain , so they suggested to go to conferences room. There were small food choices / no vegetables.., and only plastic plates and cups and etc.. Compared to other hotels we stayed i think it was overpriced.

No much information about the parks near the hotel

Friendly staff. Room was clean but a little worn in places. Area behind the toilet looked stained and caulking was coming off. Needs redone.
