Lindum Lodge

Hotel lovely. Russell was a great host and gave us all the information requested. Breakfast very good.

Unfortunately for Russell there are some very unsocial people been moved into Abbey Road which are causing people around the area distress. He has tried to do something about the situation but so far to no avail.

Our room at the Lindum Lodge was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of storage so we were able to unpack completely. Russell and his family were very friendly and the breakfasts were good!

There was nothing we didnt like but some people might struggle with the location, it's a beautiful walk downhill to the seafront then a choice of 2 hills back up to the lodge- one quite steep and one not too bad.

A great welcome on arrival from Russell the owner. He showed us around the Lodge and gave us information on the best routes into the town. He was a wealth of information and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent and service with a smile. Would definitely stay here again.

Expected more from a 4 star establishment. Perhaps the guide lines for Bed and Breakfast is different to Hotels.

The pleasant surprise was the guests' lounge area, which was large and beautiful - though hardly anyone else seemed to use it. My single room was big enough, solidly furnished with plenty of storage space. The en-suite was likewise good. Everything, throughout the hotel, was spotlessly clean and maintained to a high standard. Location was good...and bad. The good part was the easy walk down into town.

The bad part of the location was the walk back up the hill. You could take a bus, but that involved a fairly long downhill walk from the nearest stop Parking was an issue. We were each allocated a space, but room was very tight and manoeuvring difficult at busy times. Breakfast was disappointing, an exercise in feeding the guests as quickly as possible. The food was adequate, at best, compared with a top B&B.

The facilities and service were great. The owners were lovely and they ensured we felt very welcome for the length of our stay!

We enjoyed the atmosphere of the property. Russell was very welcoming, polite, respectful and friendly and even gave us a tour of the property which was lovely. The location of the property was perfect, about a 6-7 minute walk to the sea front and restaurants. Our room was very clean, very comfortable and had a great view also.
