Hotel des Horlogers

Although not located close to Geneva city center there a bus stop right next to the hotel, but if you are looking for something withing a walking distance, this is not your option. Geneva is an expensive city, so although the price for the quality would be too high in other countries is reasonable compared to other options in Geneva.

The room was in the attic, and the ceiling was so low in one side of the room that was pretty much wasted space. The decoration needs an update, it feels old.

Very easy to access and easy checking. My room way on the garden side so very quiet. Many restaurants in the vicinity and spacious room. The bed was very comfortable

Traditional swiss hotel which houses a museum of clockmaking with interesting displays. Get a room with East view of la Saleve. Free public transport ticket sent by hotel. Bus 80 in 15 min to Bel Air in heart of Geneva.

Very busy road, but good bus connections, close to Lancy TER station with frequent services.

The hotel was very flexible with my late arrival due to the cancelled flight. The room was clean and organized. The staff at the reception was very friendly.

The breakfast was somehow poor and the staff was not available. There was no light by the table therefore it took some reorganization before it was possible to work. There were no shades at the window (only curtains) which did not feel good on the ground floor.

- Close to the Plan-les-Ouates industrial area. - Reasonable price for the area. - A pass for local transport is included, with good access to bus/tram/train services. - Clean, with friendly and efficient staff. - Interesting exhibits of old-time watch-making tools.

- Too warm and no thermostat control: had to open the outside door to moderate the temperature. And then it got too cold, which interrupted my night. - No one at front desk upon check-in: my room had no toilet paper, and there was no one on-site to address this simple issue. A quick phone call, however, did resolve it quickly and efficiently: they had me get the key for another room out of a lock-box. - The pillows are very uncomfortable. I'm usually not very picky about this, but these pillows are way too thick and incompressible; between the temperature and the pillows, I did not have a single good night of sleep. - Unattended breakfast buffet in the basement: no complaints about the facilities and breakfast per se, but eating all alone, with no natural light and just the humming of refrigerators, is not an inspiring way to start the day. - Slightly worn facilities: little things, like screw-holes in the wall where the safe used to be, the door handle that comes off in your hand, and the partially dysfunctional shower control. - Noise: this time I had a room out back, which was fine, but on a previous visit it was on the front, with lots of traffic noise.

Very friendly and supportive staff. Added a baby nest in the room and extra towels.

Personally, for a little allergy, I don't like "moquette" as floor.
