Each year, I rent a hotel room in the area to visit family over the holidays. I stayed at this hotel this year and last year. Both years I stayed in a room on the third floor. There is a lot to like about this hotel. The service is friendly, housekeeping is great, breakfast is decent, and the beds and sleep areas are very clean and comfortable. This is over shadowed by the terrible mold smell coming from the bathrooms. I did not stay in the room much, but when I was there, the bathroom door stayed close. When I showered, etc. I did so quickly or I would get a headache. Last year the smell was mild, but this year it was almost unbearable. The smell goes beyond typical mildew found in some hotels. It's clear there was an issue with flooding or a leak that was not remediated correctly and is growing worse. Not sure I'll stay here again next (at least without checking room out ahead of time to make sure it's not a health hazard). It's a shame because otherwise I really like the hotel.

Indoor pool was freezing! We are from Alaska and didn’t want to get in that water.
