They cancelled or room for no reason

Room size and comfort. Staff at buffet breakfast.

Generally tired and in need of update. Sister hotel in Clifden surpasses Hotel Newport. Failure to stock rooms with correct toiletries and beverages/biscuits, despite requests. Narrow, heavy fire doors for entry and corridors. Smokers outside the front of the hotel, as the smoke drifts upwards into the bedroom. Bus stop outside of front of hotel with noisy passengers waiting.

Food was excellent

No cooked breakfast

We were starving and exhausted as we drove 3 hours from Dublin. However, the food we ordered was bland and tasteless. We almost didn’t touch the food. We ended up driving again on top of the 3 hours for almost an hour just to get food. At night we couldn’t sleep properly. The atmosphere in the room was dry and too warm. Maybe, no proper ventilation system.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und stilvoll eingerichtet. Unser Rad wurde sicher untergebracht. Check-in und out waren bequem. Ein sehr angenehmer und erholsamer Zwischenstopp auf unserer Reise. Auch ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbüffet war im Preis inbegriffen.

Wir wollten am Abend an der Bar einen Trink nehmen. Es hat lange gedauert bis wir bedient wurden.

More than adequate. Loved the front seating watching the world go by. Lovely hotel with good breakfast.

Perhaps a proper shower rather than a bath tub with a shower fitting
