If you like dipping your toe into "yesteryear" and getting an idea of what life might have been like for the well-to-do in the early 20th Century (at least in the colonial era), then this is the place. Carefully preserved with meticulous attention to detail, this place feels more like a home than a hotel. Nestled into its own modest but private gardens with a majestic pool, there is little sense of the city beyond the walls. A beautiful hideaway. The dinner experience was similarly exquisite, with a real sense of being spoilt by both the opulence, and the quiet, efficient attention. Thanks, Nassor.

We loved the slightly antiquated locks and bolts, the original balcony and verandah. It's not supposed to look new and gleaming. Others may say some things look 'tired'. We thought it made the place authentic.
